Former Colorado state Republican party chairman Ryan Call talked to Laura Ingraham today to explain the delegation-selection process works and how it "cuts out any semblance of democracy or the popular will." Call said the statewide convention that chooses the delegates reinforces all the worst stereotypes of the party.
"The very time we should be opening up our doors and being more open and transparent, and welcoming people into our Party, weve essentially made the decision to close it off and make it more cumbersome and more difficult. And, to prevent the ability of people to have their voice heard in this process. Youre reinforcing all of the very worst stereotypes about the Party and I, frankly, am very concerned about the way voters are going to feel," Call told Ingraham.

Call is the former party chairman.
When will we hear from the current party chairman?
Anyway, there’s no amount of back-pedaling that can make this right.
Cruz is a hybrid of Nixon and Clinton. My God his administration would be one scandal and hearing after another. His blind ambition and sense of destiny will always lead him to put himself above all else.
“orrible” is supposed to be “Horrible”
Who is Stephen Miller?! Did he just join???
This is what happens when a candidate cannot overcome the will of the people.
Pray America wakes

Oh yeah....because liberals don't ever have to admit their mistakes when they screw up....they just blame everyone else.
BTW......isn't Call the guy who got kicked out of the GOP Chairmanship because he screwed over the grassroots/Tea party groups?
Too funny.......
Former top staffer to Sen. Sessions. Joined in January.
You obviously do not know how these crony systems work. You have to be over 60 yrs old a part of the establishment for at least 20 yrs to be a delegate. Not exactly the Trump target audience.
Pure corruption at its finest.
Trump, Cruz and Kasich knew the rules before they went in and these rules were put in place about a year ago. If Cruz would have lost would it be okay? Like i said earlier, the parties picked “their guy” before 1913 then we went to a system of primaries and delegates. To say Cruz has cheated and stole the election in CO is not true. Read up on history....all parties were aware of this going in. Do I like it? No, I don’t but it shows that Trump and his campaign don’t know how the system works and the only way to change it is get inside and reverse after the fact.
That’s a tree not the forest. The big picture problem is not rocket science to anyone who is not stuck staring at one tree so long they get so cross-eyed they think the fuzzy thing they see is the whole forest.
What happened In Colorado is indefensible on any coherent, rational, ethical, or moral ground. Everyone know this. THAT is the big picture, that is the forest - and exactly why Trump is so much more popular than any other candidate. THAT is why there is a movement like we have never before seen in American politics. Trump is blowing up the status-quo Americans have HATED for so long. And Colorado gave him more ammunition in that fight for freedom for establishment elitists cramming what they want down our throats.
“Cruz told the Colorado crowd earlier that its easy to talk about making America great again you can even print that on a baseball cap but that the more important question is which candidate understands the principles and values that made America great in the first place.
Does that mean getting in bed with and wildly fornicating and fluffing every establishment elitist he can get close to?
Wow he makes me sick. To think I bought his book A Time For Truth. I actually believed he was the only principled candidate in the race. He proved how stupid I was to believe him. Six months ago no one would have believed Cruz would be where he is right now - in bed with the GOP elite.
Ill still vote for him if he is the nominee but Id like a refund on the book.
You are correct...the Denver Post article talks about that here:
GOP leaders have never provided a satisfactory reason for forgoing a presidential preference poll, although party chairman Steve House suggested on radio at one point that too many Republicans would otherwise flock to their local caucus.
Imagine that: party officials fearing that an interesting race might propel thousands of additional citizens to participate. But of course that might dilute the influence of elites and insiders. You can see why that could upset the faint-hearted.
the fact that the Republican leadership then took matters a step further and deprived even that narrow slice of voters a voice in one of the most competitive, consequential political nominations in memory and perhaps in history is mindboggling.

Delegates were awarded in proportion to the votes cast save for those the Republican GOPe, in their great wisdom, added to the total the overall victor in the popular vote received.
IOW, it was all clear and directly related to the votes cast with a bonus for the overall winner.
Unfortunately for Snake Cruz, he doesn't come out as the overall winner much and never will.
Her and his point was, why would an average Trump voter want to vote for Cruz after they feel their vote had been stolen. Even had a Colorado Repub call and say she was writing in Trump in the General since she felt cheated.
Perhaps your Grand Champion chess player hasn’t thought that many moves ahead. #neverGOPe!
He’s not a politician... therefore he can’t know the rules or have the big inside game... so he can’t win no matter what the people say in their state elections. Our nominee must be GOPe, and for months they have said it will not be Trump. They have it all figured out, we cannot win, we cannot elect Trump. Colorado GOP even tweeted in delight on Friday that they have stopped Trump! Makes me sad...
you can’t change the rules when the corrupt establishment is on charge of the rules.
That talking point of crap of well it is the rules, well so is abortion is that OK with you,
‘obama tells us he keeps within the rules , s you agree does he>?
Those delegates do not represent the voter, the voter had no chance to state who they wanted.
Now either you are for the voter or you can keep harping on about rules and change them wen you know damn well the GOP changes the rules all the time to benefit them and right now their guy cruz is the one who benefits
So you do the bidding of the establishment and I will do the bidding to the destruction of the elitist, corrupt , establishment party.
The fact is that every time cruz and the establishment does this they are turning off more and more voters and to think cruz has only won 4 , just 4 primary election states, then he would be a disaster in the general, and I know here in FL he would lose big to Clinton, so keep backing the loser to give us Clinton
The fact is cruz and the establishment have shot themselves in the foot over this.
People of CO are so fed up with what has just happened and here too in FL and these states you need to bring out the voters ,. Something which will not happen as now cruz has tainted himself with the GOP
Then you don’t think that Cruz will be the nominee, either?
yes to suit the party and the party pick.
They were hoping for bush, it never happened, they hoped for Walker it never happened, they hoped for Rubio it never happened.
Cruz is their guy now and this is why the rules change.
The party changes the rules to suit themselves so don’t tell me this is not a rigged primary election.
The same is for the Dems with their super delegates.
Pay off a few delegates and bingo they change their vote.
You want to ignore that corruption?
