This fellow in the video was a Republican Party State Delegate in Colorado. He was removed from his position because he voted for TRUMP. Not having a Primary, No Caucus, NO PUBLIC VOTE and CRUZ gets All THE DELEGATES. That is Disenfranchising the voters . . . and you don't think their will be a price to pay!

//You aren’t at all disturbed that the people of Colorado were not allowed to vote in a Primary? That’s ok with you?//

Apparently. However, if it were reversed and all the delegates went to Trump he would be screaming bloody murder.

I’m a Trump gal, but even if it went for Trump, it would take serious issue with this. It screams corruption

Let the reader note:

When a poster uses the > sign before the words, it is to indicate that they are RESPONDING to someone else’s words.
My response follows after that.

And let the reader take note that direct discourse with these operatives is pointless. That’s why I have addressed my post to myself, and not the original poster.

Ted Cruz will simply never get past the fact that a strong majority of voters recognize him for the pure, glorious, smirking little asshat that he is.

Going after delegates BEFORE the primary is even held and NO votes have been cast?

No, this is NOT "normal" at all and it stinks on ice!

But then, you are just as unethical as the candidate whom you support.

What a silly post. Is it the fault of Cruz that CO chooses this method of delegate selection? Or is it Trump’s fault for letting his ego get in the way thinking himself to be the smartest man in the room when he knows zilch about the political process? Or policy, but I digress. THIS is who you want running things that didn’t have the sense to hire experts to help him?

God help us all if the fool is elected POTUS. He makes Obama appear to be a genius.

As a Cruz supporter, I am embarrassed...

...for trump fans who have absolutely no idea how primary rules are set up. I’m embarrassed that they think getting involved after the delegates are selected should, in any way, be as important as getting involved early. I’m embarrassed at the mental gymnastics trump fans MUST use to when supporting the object of their adoration. I’m embarrassed at the nonstop attacks on Cruz that are , 9 out of 10 times, completely baseless. I’m embarrassed trump fans have dropped all conservative ideas and resort to democrat style assaults on looks.

I am embarrassed by trump fans. I’m also very thankful for them. When Cruz faces these same attacks in July through to November he will have hardened his defenses and honed his counter attack.

I expect him use “She sounds just like trump.” Unless trump ends up on the ticket with him.

“Way to go Ted, Colorado is a great example of how your a Constitutional Conservative, no vote is not constitutional.”

Prior to 1910 there were no primaries to vote in to select a presidential nominee. The primary method was pushed by the Progressives. Prior to 1910 delegates were elected in caucuses and state conventions. Oregon held the first primary in 1910, with many states following afterwards.

I was Chair of my Colorado Precinct caucus Let me tell you about it so you have some context (yes I'm very angry right now about this balderdash about "stolen" delegates.). Just to be clear: I WAS NOT a Cruz supporter, I was for Rubio at that time. --it was just as Marco was dragged into the filth swamp with Donald, foolishly responding to Donald's constant junior high "Little Marco, oh, sweating! oh sweating little Marco: thirsty boy, big ears big ears little marco and on and on blah-stupid-blah ad infinitum, junior high without end from Donald, and then Marco, frustrated, finally lashed out and mde his own foolish remarks, getting in the gutter with the gutter-master.….

Like the system or not, and I oppose it, I want it changed, because it is too complicated for the simple-minded and lazy -----this is what it is:

You go to caucus, you check in, (March First) --you must be a registered Republican, you present picture ID which is checked against the precinct rolls. NO ONE WAS TURNED AWAY that showed up, except for one guy who lived in a different precinct, they were meeting gown the hall.

We did the formalities: Prayer, pledge, summary of Agenda.

Explanation of the process, 6-8 minutes

Step ONE: appoint tellers to count the ballots (which were just 3x5 sheets to write names on. Then elect two Precinct Leaders, you may self-nominate OK, we did that. I was elected along with one other guy, though we only had one candidate, I accepted in absence of anyone wanting to do the job.

Step TWO: elect 8 people to the County Assembly. We had only 8 people nominated so that made "election" moot, by acclamation we decided they all won (again, you can self-nominate for all of these spots)

Step THREE: Then we elected 2 delegates to the Congressional District Assembly and 2 to the State-wide Assembly (where national delegates are VOTED on by the delegates that come from the precincts).

More people were nominated (self-nominated) than the number of positions, so we held our little election. I invited each person to get up, state their name and say whatever they wanted, and say who they favored, though they could not be compelled to do so, according to the rules. Two people spoke on behalf of Carson, Five for Cruz, one for Rubio and one (yes ONE) for Trump. # Cruzers were elected plus one Rubio-guy (me).

At the County Assembly (El Paso County, 31% of the state's Republicans), we did an unofficial non-binding straw poll, Rubio was out, Carson was out. It was 71% for Cruz, 18% Trump, 11% Kasich.

Then, the "higher" Assemblies, where, Friday April 8 for the Congressional District and April 9 for the State, delegates to CLEVELAND were elected. Again, you could self-nominate for Cleveland, though it had to be done by filing with the State GOP by the 26th of March, 3 1/2 weeks after the Precinct Caucus. You could Name a candidate, or you could just remain "unpledged." There were 600+ candidates at the State Assembly, I'm not sure how many at the CD (I was at State, not CD). We voted by ballot. The State elects 13 at-large delegates, plus 13 alternates, so vote for 26 people, the top 13 are delegates, the next 13, alternates. Iknow of one Trump supporter who did get elected as an alternate, he's always been very politically active, friends with everyone, well known (which helps a lot). The rest were Cruz supporters.

This system WAS NOT put in place by Cruz or his team, the system the last few cycles was the same, with minor differences. I was at the previous 3 State Assemblies.

Yes, it is complicated, definitely too complicated for Trump's minor-league management team. The fact is Trump's people did not prepare, did not plan, did not think strategically and flat-out did not show up.

It is interesting that the Cruzer-dominated convention DID vote and pass a resolution to go to a primary system next time.

And I moved to Cruz, not Trump, because politically, Cruz is much more consistently conservative, pushes the idea of constitutional government, limited government. Trump seems to me confused about small-government, very rarely cites the Constitution. And Cruz seemed much closer to Rubio in philosophy than Trump, who, sad to say, I do not believe is a conservative at all, he just has a few ideas that seem conservative, though he came to them very very late in life. It rankles me that we had to fight with Harry Reid's Senate shutdown, ----and Donald Trump put Harry Reid in that position. Why did he do it? Because he was really a liberal? NO. Worse than that, It was because he thought he could get a real estate deal in Las Vegas. In other words, he put his company ahead of his country. Donald, I find you utterly unimpressive, though entertaining.

I see that logic is not your strong suit. Ted Cruz is lining up delegates that support him so that the GOPe cannot steal this. If he was helping the GOPe steal this, then he would let them pick the delegates.

OMG, what another delusional reply, I told you it's all a moot point. Do you not understand that? This race should already be over with Cruz needing 88% of the remaining delegates to win the nomination outright.

In 2012, one of the last people in the race, Santorum, dropped out when he needed 75% of the remaining delegates. Are you so delusional that you do not understand that this should already be over?

The fact is, the only reason for Cruz to stay in IS to help the GOPe steal this thing. There really is no other logical answer, when Ted Cruz, mathmatically, has very little chance at the nomination outright.

Open your freakin' eyes or continue to spin for the sleazy lawyer fraud, Ted Cruz.

What could Trump have done different that delegates who were for Trump were removed by the corrupt party apparatus in Co? Lying Cruz the snake is full bore doing the gopE dirty work now. We thought Jeb and Rubio were the gopE snakes working the inside to rig the process, it is Cruz and has been all along,

At the last caucus I attended, 3/4 of the attendees fled and went home between steps 2 and 3.

If you were a Trump supporter, at least you be be intelligent, have principles, ethics, and could tell right from wrong.

Since you aren't one, you have NONE of those qualities.

Well my goodness- don’t you realize that everything from mob crimes to Bernie Madoff scams to ebola is Ted’s fault?

[[Or is it Trump’s fault for letting his ego get in the way thinking himself to be the smartest man in the room when he knows zilch about the political process? ]]

My goodness- Trump told us himself he is going to listen to himself because he has such a big brain- what more proof do you need?
