The bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives came forward Thursday, admitting that a box spotted and removed from an SRP power pole on 21st and Glendale avenues belonged to them and was part of an ongoing investigation.
ATF officials would not elaborate on the investigation and would not say if they were conducting surveillance in the area.
"I don't feel safer," said Brian Clegg, who called ABC15 about the box on the power pole behind his house.
Clegg was suspicious there could be cameras installed in the boxes but ATF would not confirm that.

Disband the ATF!
Probably spying on white guys with guns...
Let’s see the warrant, ATF.
Should’ve just taken a shot at it.
>Lets see the warrant, ATF.
Under Obama and sadly Bush before him the feds don’t need no stinking warrants.
I knew an ATF agent. He was at my house one night and told me about a house around the block they had staked out a few months before.
Some of the stuff they do is worthwhile. But. I think they should be disbanded.
I wonder what would have happened if Mr. Cleff pointed a laser at it? Maybe he did and he’s not saying ....
It wasn’t tranny surveillance?
You bet they’re watching the area!!
United Nations Ammo Company is located in a strip mall at
2035 W. Glendale Ave. They probably have a visual record of every vehicle license plate and persons there-in that have entered that store.
UNAC has great prices!

Let me fix that for you:
Probably spying on white, Christian guys with guns...
The bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives
Next box we see, get drunk, smoke a cigar, use the cigar to light some dynamite you have strapped the camera, then use a rifle to shoot at the remains...
Just to cover all the letters of BATFE
Under Obama and sadly Bush before him the feds dont need no stinking warrants.
There is no presumption of privacy on a public street and therefore no warrant is required to take pictures in public.
However there can be a trespassing charge leveed for unauthorized attaching of equipment to a power pole.
Power companies charge rent for other companies use of their poles.
LOL!
This could make for a great commercial.
Boy, do I feel vindicated. In my post on the original story, I said I suspected it belonged to one of the alphabet agencies of the Federal gubmint. And it turns out it does. The ATF&E. Which sounds like a railroad line but ain’t.
Sumagun.
