Sometimes it is amazing what comes out of the mouthpiece of a campaign.
Ted Cruz's challenged campaign manager is proclaiming that Trump should drop out if he cannot get over 50% in New York.
In that case, Cruz should drop out because he only got 43.8% in Texas. The opposition vote in Texas was 27% for Trump, but then 18, 4, and 4, for Rubio, Kasich, and Carson respectively. IOW, a non-Trump vote of only 26%.
Kasich is running second in New York, and Cruz had 18% at last count, well below the non-Trump vote in Texas of 26%. In fact, Cruz is in danger of scoring zero chance at any delegates in New York since there is a 20% lower threshold.
So, to wrap this up, if Cruz cannot get any delegates, and cannot beat Trump's 27% from Texas, then CRUZ should drop out.
Not Trump.
St Patrick’s weeks behind us, yet you’re still wearing green.
Unless Cruz gets more than half the delegates in NY, he will be mathematically eliminated from getting to 1237. Then you will have Trump running against two opponents, neither of which can get to 1237.
That will change the dynamics of the race. Even Cruz supporters will now understand what they are voting for. Not all of them want Cruz to win it backdoor ... most want him to win it fair and square ... with the majority of votes.
:’)
LMAO!
She might be a good balance on the ticket for all those reasons, and her negatives are small in comparison with anyone else I can think of, apart from Jeff Sessions. OTOH, no matter who gets named, the negatives will explode around here. :')
Cruz came in third in Florida, Ohio, and Virginia.
And he lost every state in the south.
No Way Jose!
Kate Upton for Veep!
Cruz is the Wile E. Coyote of politics.
“It was a 4 way race at that time.”
So?
Are the people in Texas split on whether they wanted to vote for their sitting senator?
Who is Kate Upton?
“Ted Cruz is relying on numbskulls to keep the faith no matter what.”
Isn’t that the truth.
Only that actual cult of loons would demand the guy with more delegates leave the race for a guy that lost all of the primaries in the south and came in third in several others.
If that was Trump’s record, they would be howling.
But because it’s Ted the Messiah.....well that doesn’t matter.
The word “delegate” was not mentioned in the Cruz campaign tweet.
Cruz is a first-term Texas Senator who has spent a significant portion of his time at work running for another job! Try that at your job.
And speaking of his current job, Made in Canada Cruz should have told his Texan potential voters that he was, in fact and paperwork, a Canadian citizen running to be their next Senator from Texas.
And now, the Constitutional genius that he is, thinks his mother's American citizenship makes his Made in Canada citizenship EXACTLY the same as a natural born American citizen who was actually born here in one of these United States to TWO American Citizen parents.
Ted Cruz is not what he was advertised as being when Sarah Palin emailed me about the young, up and coming, TEA party conservative running to be the next Senator from Texas.
He is yet another young, somewhat damaged soul who has no business being in the arena with the lions.
Which is EXACTLY why "they" put him in there.
Pray for young Ted. That poor soul's been snared real good.
How many candidates were n the ballot in Texas?
How many are contesting NY?
Apples and oranges trumpanzee.
Au contraire. It's orange.. in mocking honor of The Donald.
“NY has a lower threshold of 20%.”

Yes, the lower threshold for delegates is 20%...
The RCP average now has Cruz at 18.6%, Kasich at 22.0, Trump at 53.0%...
With 12 days to go, there is still time for Cruz to reach 20%; looks like Kasich is in a strong position to potentially get delegates; the more important number for delegate allocation will be the final % reached by Trump on primary night...last two polls had him at 52.0%...Kasich and Cruz will hope to keep Trump below 50...
George Washington would not have approved Ted Cruz as an acceptable candidate for the presidency.
Cruz is playing the role of the turd in the punch bowl, deluding the gullible to join the evil in the destruction of America.
Around the nation, the huge majority of people in state after state are voting against Ted Cruz.
He is in no position to pontificate to anyone.
