STEVE MILLER Drops Bomb on TED CRUZ: He Proposed Legislation to Double Muslim Immigration in America
Gateway Pundit ^ | April 02, 2016 | Jim Hoft

Posted on 04/02/2016 11:21:36 AM PDT by Hojczyk

Steve Miller spoke this morning at the Donald Trump town hall in Racine, Wisconsin. Miller destroyed Ted Cruz on the senator’s immigration and trade record. Miller pointed out that Ted Cruz supported the Trans-Pacific Trade Deal that will cost the US millions of jobs.

Cruz also pushed to expand Muslim immigration into America. This is despite the fact that Obama has issued 68o,000 green cards to immigrants from Muslim countries in the last five years.

The Cruz amendment would have doubled the number of Muslim immigrants to America to up to 1.35 million.

Steve Miller added,

“Why is it that our media is more concerned with Donald Trump’s tone than illegal immigrants killing her Americans… Washington weeps no tears for these dead Americans. Instead Washington says you should be concerned about Donald Trump’s tone!… This is your once in a lifetime opportunity that will not come again!”

The Washington Examiner reported on Cruz’s support for expanding Muslim immigration in America.

The Washington Examiner reported:

Plans pushed by GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz under the immigration reform debate in 2013 that would have jumped the number of immigrants, including those from Muslim nations, were raised by the Trump campaign Tuesday.

Under the Cruz plan, yearly legal immigration would have gone from 740,000 to 1,675,000. He said his idea was to actually help kill the bill not boost the numbers.

“I was introducing a whole series of amendments, in part to demonstrate the hypocrisy of the Democrats. So, for example, the Democrats claimed they were supporting high-tech workers, so I introduced an amendment on that, every Democrat voted against it, which demonstrated that this was all a political endeavor for them, that what they were saying wasn’t true,” he told radio’s Laura Ingraham.

Meet Wisconsin’s First Pro-Trump State Legislator

http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2016/03/30/meet-wisconsins-first-pro-trump-state-legislator/

I had one gal around here saying, ‘He’s attacking the women and he’s attacking all this,’ and I said, ‘You’re listening to the malarkey from the opposition,’” Mr. Edming said. “I think he’s going to make it.”
Mr. Edming said his position is common in his part of the state.
“I’ve talked to a kazillion people here in the last two to three weeks,” he said. “The more and more that they attack Trump, the more people are going to vote for him.”

Not true. Sessions never did confirm Cruz’s version, only said that he “fought”. A few months ago, after Sessions endorsed Trump, he gave an accurate account of what happened to the bill.

‘The reason Cantor lost is because of those Senators who fought hard against the bill, and so made it a major issue. Their fighting, in large part, is what helped the American people to wake up and stop it in the House.’

The reason Cantor lost is because Brat and his supporters worked their butts off to defeat him. Guess who didn’t lend one scintilla’s worth of support to the effort?

Ted Cruz.

If you say otherwise, post a link verifying your claim. Otherwise it’s just more of that Magical Thinking Cruz supporters are so good at.

Cruz pushing legalization in a tweet to his personal followers: 9:37 AM - 19 Jun 2013 We need to secure the border. Any bill this body passes should have border security first & then legalization. Not the other way around.

Cruz was my first choice until I decided that Trump has the leadership qualities that he lacks.

Why yes increasing immigrates/refugees by double and foreign workers by 500 percent always makes a bill less bad.......is a sarcasm tag needed?

If you take it out of context, it sounds silly, but that's true for a lot of what even our best Congressmen and Senators do. Read the details. In context, it was a lot like proposing a $100 an hour minimum wage to point out the flaws in a $15 an hour minimum wage.

But Sessions endorsed Trump and then Sessions top immigration adviser, Steve Miller, went to work for Trump as his policy adviser.

I'm not arguing that FR should flip to supporting Cruz - I've said many times that I'll be voting Trump. My point, and it's an important one, is that Cruz is according to the evidence a patriot and not one of the bad guys. If Trump chooses Cruz as his VP, that's not a blot on Trump's record. If Cruz runs to replace President Trump in eight years (four years if Trump's age becomes a factor in 2020), I don't want people to start with a false image of Cruz either.

I may be wrong on Cruz, obviously. It may turn out that instead of the infidelity rumors being another Duke Rape, UVA Rape, Tawana Brawley, Elvis Spotted, Aliens Ate Obama's Brain (okay, that last one may be true); the anti-Cruz Twitter storm may be another Bill Cosby Rape or John Edwards Adultery story. However, until we have better evidence, I don't want people to judge Cruz unfairly based on things that are clearly out of context or wrong.

The impact of unchecked immigration on America’s social and economic life is mounting. America hasn’t seen a pause in immigration in 60 years. I think it’s time we took stock after decades of legal and illegal immigration, and better control the border amidst this contracting economy and expanding threats from Islamic terrorism.

Cruz seems out of touch with that reality, which is strange considering he’s from Texas.

Trump does have leadership qualities, unfortunately, (with the exception of a few items)he is demonstrably ignorant and, or, grossly misguided on a host of issues facing this country.

To bring in ANY muslims.. let alone more... will change this country the way obama said he would. Bring in that many from a country that is hell bent on destroying Christians and the USA.. those who will never assimilate.. and it’s setting up a take over of our courts, our constitution, our schools, our churches, our military, and our people. We will not ever be the same if they don’t do something about ANYONE who comes here and has no intentions of becoming Americans.

Why do you think they are to pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States when they are granted citizenship...

If I have to take off my glasses to get my driver’s license picture taken, they sure have to take off their head gear/garbage to get theirs taken. The rules for citizenship should include what they wear going down the streets... under that coverup they wear.. there could be anything hidden.. and it’s an outward sign they are not Americans and will not become Americans. All that covering they wear makes me ill to the core.

Freedom of worship in this country does not include mosques where they plan terrorist attacks, or register persons to vote. I guess ‘watchers’ go into our churches to check what the minister is preaching... but are not allowed in the mosques.. We need an American who loves this country ... to set some things right again... to dismantle all the left has done.... with the GOP help. And to be man enough to tell the media, the GOP, and the elite ... to stuff it. Things are gonna change.

“Rand Paul on illegals and immigration?????!!!..Libertarians by there own definition are opens borders peopLE”

That is what I would of thought but Numbersusa gave him a grade of A and that is good enough for me. The only other person who I could see as viable candidate is Thune who got a B.

“Of course he isn’t. That’s why I’m voting for him - but he’s conservative enough to tell the truth, build a wall and get DC under control. That’s a great start.”

Which of Donald Trump’s many “truths” are you hanging your hat on?

Not so surprising when you are dealing with another DC Insider Ivy league lawyer.

Ted Cruz was hired as a partner Morgan Lewis & Bockius in 2008, during the presidential election in which Barack Obama became president. Morgan Lewis & Bockius made contributions totaling over $200,000 in support of Obama’s campaigns for President, as well as $750,000 to Democrats since Cruz became a partner.
