KGO which is basically the affiliated liberal side of the same KSFO – KGO radio family (“sister stations”) is in the middle of massive firings and shakeups. KGO changed their format a long while back, the stalwart of liberal talk didn’t work and their ratings dropped, with the exception of course of the longtime KGO talk host Ronn Owens who does have a dedicated audience and instead he has now moved over to KSFO taking Mark Levin’s slot. Mark Levin has been taken off his current live 3pm to 6pm slot, and instead for now put into a “red hear” (verse red eye) slot in the evening and will only be pre-recorded.
I stopped listening to Mark Levin on KSFO many months ago, his “show” essentially digressed into Levin listening first to Michael Savage, then when Levin would come on the air all he would do is psychotically attack Michael Savage and Levin was really as bad as Glenn Beck as far as bizarre mental fixation and hatreds and jealously, and really that is the exact explanation of when and how Levin jumped on the Ted Cruz bandwagon, besides having family relations as paid operatives of Cruz, Levin was fixated with jealousy of Savage’s tremendous success and huge audience and ratings that as soon as Savage started saying some good things about Trump it was then that Levin jumped on the Cruz sounding board and when Savage started to have Trump call into his show, Levin went totally berserker and became a Cruz wingnut not too far removed from Glenn Beck, the real root cause of Levin’s already cardiac-issue was totally deep-seated in his jealousy of Michael Savage. Of course, Michael Savage, the most popular show on KSFO as far as ratings, maintains his coveted Noon to 3pm slot and it’s huge audience. The morning show 5am to 9am moves Brian Sussman out of the slot, he was a local host in the SF Bay Area. The “sister station” to KSFO was KGO and was bleeding money. KGO total clean house going on, dozens terminated, who knows where the format lands next week. Sussman on KSFO was a great host, but a local host and not national. Not sure who takes this slot, might be a national host.
Glenn Beck has been dumped. Which is fine by me, I haven’t listened to this nut and his religious-mix-political cultism for a long, long time.
I have to agree. The current host runs a repeat of Drudge. Lee spent hours on show prep and his insight was fantastic.
There has never been a host to replace him

Actually, it’s the other way around. Michael Savage has a spotty conservative past and donated to Jerry Brown. I have talker friends who worked at KSFO when it was all local (been listening since 1995).
The Savage-Levin thing is reversed... Savage has always been jealous of the other hosts, including Levin. One of the reasons I stopped listening to him. I also would like Levin not to refer to other hosts unless it’s a live commentary such as when O’Reilly is working his populism, expert-on-everything routine.
Absolutely. Lee and Mel and OV, Brian Wilson, Geoff Metcalf, Jim Eason. The early 2000s were prime KSFO years.
I used to call Suss all the time when he worked evenings - it’s harder during morning commute and work hours. He’s filled the morning spot well.

The Senate Conservatives Fund (PAC) purchasing massive quantities ($400,000) of Mark Levin’s books in exchange for favorable candidacy political opinion. Conveniently Hidden by the radio host who avoids mentioning the financial conflict created.
Then again, Levin never informed his audience of his family working within the Staff of Senator Ted Cruz either. Does Levin’s endorsement, when contrast against the crony-constitutional advocacy, clarify with a little sunlight? You decide.
Oh m - the first time they ran that turkey segment, I was driving down 580. I dang near ran off the road, I was laughing so hard. I looked at some of the other cars on the freeway, and about half of those drivers were laughing too.

I suspect this is all part of the GOPe 100-day Stop Trump plan, hatched on Sea Island.
I saw a documented post the other day here about Erick Erickson getting money from some GOPe super pac. I don’t doubt that all these other “conservative” talk show hosts are also getting big GOPe bucks to bash Trump, especially in Wisconsin.
But Rush says (if you read - or rather, listen) between the lines, that none of this will work, and will only make Trump supporters more determined.
We will see on Tuesday.
One of the mistakes the GOPe made was to trash citizens who supported Trump... We became their enemy - they became ours...
And all the “conservative” radio hosts in the country - no matter how much they’re paid by the GOPe - can do absolutely nothing to change that!
