Ted Cruz declined to answer a question on Monday about whether he has ever been unfaithful to his wife Heidi.
'Senator Cruz,' DailyMail.com asked him, 'can you please swat down more definitively this National Enquirer piece by telling us on the record that you've never been unfaithful to your wife?'
The National Enquirer published a story last Wednesday that speculated about five women with whom the Republican presidential candidate was rumored to have had extramarital affairs.
Cruz has batted down the specifics of the story on numerous occasions since it appeared in supermarket checkout lanes.
But instead of making a blanket declaration that he has been faithful during the entirety of his 14-year marriage – a move that would effectively end the vicious news cycle – Cruz stood silently as campaign surrogate Carly Fiorina leapt in to intercept the question and change the subject.

You know Cruzs heart? Your God now? You know what he did and don’t care what trump did? Who’s the Pharisee? Accused by Internet lies. How is trump different than Bill Clinton?
And incidentally, yeah, I did consider the irony for a bit.
I decided that there was enough of a difference between the two that it didn’t bother me too much. I acknowledge that it’s a risk to support Trump, but it’s the best bet that I personally have at the moment to reign in the out of control government.
Because if we don’t smash the uniparty and their stranglehold on power, we lose on EVERYTHING else.

This is all a distraction from Hillary Clinton, who should be the prime target. This is manufactured from the belly of the best of American Leftism. With a dash of Saul Alinsky. And a twist of Joe Goebbels’ Big Lie, on the side.
So this gets big before a primary in Wisconsin and must be true. You Know for a fact it’s true? Hope no one accuses you unjustly. Trump will say and do anything to win including smear an innocent man. No I don’t believe it for a second.
What trump does is no big deal. Trump is trump and what he does to women us no big deal. Maybe your daughter would like to work for trump.

My response was to a poster you said “How about asking him, have you stopped beating your Wife?”. I said:

The Clinton’s, Obama, and Trump - there’s not a dimes worth of difference between them when it comes to being pathological liars and completely immoral. Same scum of the earth tactics and methods used against their opponents and enemies. How disgusting that America chooses these types of people.
Not really — Trump is kind of both in one — the sinner and the Pharisee. You do know that he really doesn’t need forgiveness, is a strong Christian and reads the Bible more than anyone.
Add Ted in there to your screed.
Anyone who claims to be Christian and lets a Mormon get up and preach that he’s the fulfillment of a Mormon prophecy is no Christian in my book without a VERY public repentance.

Cruz is doing it to himself.
Whether he thinks the question is garbage is irrelevant. Whether the question *is* garbage is irrelevant. Perception matters. The perception is that he’s dodging the question. He had a golden opportunity today to end that perception when asked, all he had to say was, “Yes, I have always been faithful to my wife” - instead he had a surrogate step in for him!
He’s not helping his cause.
