Cruz is doing it to himself.
Whether he thinks the question is garbage is irrelevant. Whether the question *is* garbage is irrelevant. Perception matters. The perception is that he’s dodging the question. He had a golden opportunity today to end that perception when asked, all he had to say was, “Yes, I have always been faithful to my wife” - instead he had a surrogate step in for him!
He’s not helping his cause.
Cruz is just trying to milk this. He hasn’t spoken about anything else in 3 days. He manages to bring Trump/Enquirer into every answer.
