Kasich Campaign Pulls Ads From Wisconsin Radio: Drop-Out Incoming?
The Ring of Fire Network ^ | March 28, 2016 | The Ring of Fire Network

Late Monday morning, Wisconsin conservative radio host Charles Sykes made the announcement via Twitter that the Kasich campaign ordered an immediate pull of all radio campaign ads from Wisconsin markets.

BREAKING: Kasich campaign immediately pulling all radio ads from Wisconsin markets.

— Charles Sykes (@SykesCharlie) March 28, 2016

With rumors swirling that candidate John Kasich is running woefully short on cash in a race he has no mathematical chance of winning, it would not be particularly surprising to see Kasich dropping out.

As recently as Sunday, Kasich said that calls for him to drop out by competitor Ted Cruz were “absurd,” but is it possible that he has had a change of heart (or maybe wallet)?

Maybe instead of dropping out, this pull of ad revenue is a sign that Kasich acknowledges that he has no chance in Wisconsin and is trying to reserve funding for more competitive markets?

Different polls show Kasich doing quite well in Wisconsin. He might even win it. He’s not going anywhere. He’s in it to deny Trump the 1,237 delegates and he’ll do far better in the primaries in the northeast than Cruz would. He’s a better bet for the establishment plan to stop Trump than Cruz is considering where most of the remaining primaries will be held.

I can’t imagine Kasich quitting. He sincerely believes that he’ll roll into the convention with 300-400 delegates and be handed the nomination.

I think he’s targeting those districts where he can draw the most votes and not statewide which would tax his campaign’s wallet. Kasich is the GOPe’s boy going forward.

NOPE. Incorrect assumption. The campaign for John Kasich says they are reallocating Wisconsin political ads after a new poll out shows Wisconsin is a competitive state in certain Congressional Districts.

Kasich’s campaign says, “Like any good campaign, we are regularly allocating and reallocating media in a dynamic atmosphere. We are increasing our buys in some Congressional Districts in Wisconsin and reallocating in some others.”

He’ll stay in but just play the press.

I think the original plan was for Kasich to drop out and Cruz stay in, as the stronger anti-Trump candidate. But if Cruz is on the ropes, and Kasich drops out, then that guarantees a Trump win, which the Establishment cannot allow.

Kasich will reduce expenses and see what happens with Cruz.

Yes, Kasich's role is that of spoiler. His mission is to keep Trump under the magic 1,237 and also to keep Cruz from getting too many delegates as the GOPe don't want him as nominee either.

The GOPe are still banking on the fact that Trump and Cruz will not be able to hit the 1,237 at the convention, opening the door for a compromise candidate. It's a long shot but it's the only shot they have.

That's why Wisconsin is so important for Donald Trump next week. He needs to spend the next week up in Wisconsin, eating their cheese and at least pretending to like ice fishing.

But, but … I though George Soros has been funding him? Should he get some more moola to tied him over?

I posted some updates. I read that Soros recently gave Kasich $700,000 so he couldn’t have spent it all by now.

Rush gave Johnny Spoiler a hard time today. Perhaps he finally saw the writing on the wall.Wisconsin is turning out to be maybe a decisive battleground and if Kasich drops out now we will finally have a primary where the average Republican voter can have his pick of the two front runners.
As a Cruz supporter, it would be a lot easier for me to vote for Trump in the Fall if he beats Cruz head to head.

I agree. Kasich obviously never had a shot but anything to make sure Trump doesn’t get the numbers.

I agree with that too. The GOPe want their boyz in. Cruz is sort of their boy but too unpleasant to win, and has too much baggage for them. They want Ryan/Romney etc.

Curse their hides.

I just read on FR a couple of hours ago that Kasich was pulling money from certain Congressional Districts in WI and targeting others? So which is it?

This year’s campaign was like watching a Greek Tragi-comedy with all the actors on acid.

Which poll? Last WI poll I saw had Cruz up by 3...at least that is what Fox News said.

...Cruz is the one being used, why do you think this story broke on Cruz? It’s been around since December 2015, the GOPe and RNC have used him, he’s finished now, so now they are on to Ksick...watch...in a couple of days, the next shoe is going to drop on the ‘Cuban Mistress Crisis’ and he’ll be run out on a rail...

Do you think Soros told him to back off in Wisco? Not sure why Soros would, but just wondering—I would think Kasich might do what Soros wants if Soros has given him nearly a million dollars.
