WASHINGTON (Sinclair Broadcast Group) Time and time again Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has failed to usher conservative priorities successfully through the Senate. He failed to pass legislation that would deter illegal immigration. He failed to defund Planned Parenthood, much to the dismay of conservatives. And he failed to stop the nuclear deal with Iran. Now he is being pressed to usher through the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act. If he fails, conservatives say, he could be forced out of leadership.
The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act was introduced and shepherded through the House last fall by Rep. Trent Franks, a member of the conservative Freedom Caucus that is credited with removing former Speaker John Boehner from office. The Senate companion bill was introduced by Sen. Ben Sasse in the fall but has yet to go to the floor. In March, the Senate Judiciary Committee held their first hearing on the bill, but it has not been voted out of Committee.

Is this the same freedom caucus who caved on Paul Ryan?
In other news,
water is wet,
today is Monday.
Must be an election in their near futures.
They just now figured this out?!?
Why, McConnell is a conservative how can this be so. End sarcasm
Do they also accuse the sun of rising in the East?
He must be, Trump gave 60 thousands to help Mitch beat Matt Beavens in the last election.
Do they think they are telling us something we haven’t been aware of for YEARS?
And how many of the Freedom Caucus senators will vote for McConnell as majority leader AGAIN if they keep the Senate? I bet they all will. Talk talk talk.
Too bad Bivens lost, Mitch is a two-faced socialist.
