This was meant to be nothing more than a smear. They don’t claim to have proof. Nor do they have it.
Sleaze does not equal false. The Willie Horton ad against Dukakis was considered sleazy and was done via a pro Bush PAC but that did not make it false (and it also originated from a Democrat first as did the birther story).

What played out a few days ago was Ted Cruz’s proposal for the return to monitoring Muslim communities and mosques by law enforcement.
Or.....The GOPe saw that Ted had basically reached his plateau of candidates with his additions not making any real dent on the numbers needed. So, release the filth now so by the time the convention comes Cruz will have been decimated morally and as any kind of effective spokesman. The GOPe will reign him in with maybe indications privately of more salacious information and he will quietly make room for the coup replacement: the GOPe’s “special boy”.
If Carly deapises Ted why was she on the same stage as him endorsing him while Hannity was interviewing them both?
The Enquirer was very careful to report this as rumor. Nowhere did they claim any of these allegations were true. Roger Stone, however, could find himself on the wrong end of a nasty libel suit. I don’t see Cruz doing that while the primary is ongoing because he is trying to have the campaign focus on issues. I wouldn’t want to be Roger Stone down the line though.

I think Roger is going to find himself on the very costly end of a libel suit when the primary is over. Pecker has enough sense not to report these rumors as truth.

Cruz campaign bought the photo from GQ and then gave it to the MAA PAC.
