Married man Ted Cruz denounced a supermarket tabloid tale alleging his affairs with serial mistresses, blaming nemesis Donald Trump for planting the bogus report.
The Texas senator came out swinging Friday at both The Donald and the National Enquirer over a two-page spread that identified his quintet of lovers as "a hooker, a teacher & coworkers."
The prostitute was billed in the story as a "$1,000-a-night Washington call girl."
"I want to be crystal clear: these attacks are garbage, Cruz ranted on his Facebook page. For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low (where) Donald wont go."
At a campaign event, the son of a Texas preacher called the story charing him with multiple affairs as "complete and utter lies ... a tabloid smear."

Will Cruz be filing a lawsuit?
And just this morning there were other threads with Trump supporters saying Ted’s got to come out strongly & denounce these accusations, otherwise it proves he’s guilty. Come on, guys.
“Will Cruz be filing a lawsuit?”
Nope, and that’s very telling.
Great question, Jim.
National Enquirer has gained some street creds over the past few years.
No he had to denounce it to do that, be he also gives it legitimacy if he does, and he stupidly escalated it by blaming Trump for it, which is a lie.
He loses either way.
.... Well .... as They say .... It’s the seriousness of the charge that counts!!
Not if he wants to keep a lid on embarrassing stuff coming out.
Not the least of which was based on its breaking the John Edwards sex scandal. This has sure to have a horde of wannabe hot-shot reporters out there doing legwork right now.
Has Ted actually said this stuff didn’t happen? I keep reading a lot of bombast, but actual denials are not anywhere - that I have seen anyway.
Maybe Trump should file a lawsuit aganist the claim that he planted the NE story.
“And so it begins. Now this story has legit legs. You’d think Cruz would be better off keeping his mouth shut. Now this WON’T go away. “
I don’t think Cruz wants it to go away! I’d not be particularly surprised, if he likes it because it gives him the chance to be an “agrived party” before the electorate. And it gives him a chance to unfairly link it to Donald Trump. The problem will arise, however, if it turns out that he’s ACTUALLY had a sexual liaison with ANY of the women named in the article. He lit the political fuse on all of this by allowing Liz Mair to publish the nude pic ot Melania. If he really had no knowledge of what Mair was doing, he’d have been wise to repudiate it outright and apologize to Trump. That would have gone down a whole lot better with the electorate. But seeing his flagging campaign circling the bowl, brought out his true character. He isn’t a gentleman, and has no business as our president.
Except I m not sure they really say he did it, just that people are saying he did. Stories have been around for months that he has skeletons- Ashley Madison, hookers, and now the mistresses.
He’ll have to ask his good buddy and supporter, Mutt, or Mitt or whatever the hell his name is.
Cool. Maybe they should jointly file.
He hasn't said as such. My guess is that even if the three political ops are not directly linked, the Enquirer has something with either the alleged teacher or the alleged hooker.
Let's call them what they are, scalps. But true, an impressive collection of scalps in the trophy room.
“He loses either way.”
Trump is an admitted adulterer, so even if it’s true (which I doubt), as a point of contention between the two on values, both are equal.
At least Ted Cruz didn’t donate to Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi & other leftists. For that reason I’ll keep supporting Ted Cruz.
