Role of tech who set up Clinton's server unknown to bosses at State
Reuters ^ | March 24th, 2016 | By Jonathan Allen

Soon after Hillary Clinton's arrival at the State Department in 2009, officials in the information technology office were baffled when told that a young technician would join them as a political appointee, newly disclosed emails show.

The technician, Bryan Pagliano, was running the off-grid email server that Clinton had him set up in her New York home for her work as secretary of state. But even as years passed, Pagliano's supervisors never learned of his most sensitive task, according to the department and one of his former colleagues.

Pagliano's immediate supervisors did not know the private server even existed until it was revealed in news reports last year, the colleague said, requesting anonymity because of a department ban on unauthorized interviews.

Clinton's decision to side-step the official state.gov email system has since shrouded her campaign for the U.S. presidency this year in controversy and legal uncertainty. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is conducting one of several inquiries into the arrangement, which saw classified information passing through her unsecured clintonemail.com account.

The newly disclosed emails show Patrick Kennedy, the department's under secretary for management, oversaw the hiring of Pagliano. But Clinton and the department continued to decline this week to say who, if anyone, in the government was aware of the email arrangement.

I don't mean to call everyone in my government too stupid to hold a job, but the first clue which would make anyone and everyone immediately aware that there was an improper email setup would be in the first header bar on an email which ended in something other than dot gov?

That's an obvious observation that no one seems to find important.

Your; “I still want to know who hired Craig Livingstone!”

Ahhh...indeed! Was wondering if anyone would remember that fiasco. A clear Hillary MO.

“No wonder the FBI wants to talk to him bad enough to offer immunity.”

But did the guy know what information was being handled on the server?

But how did classified information get onto Hillary’s server? It had to be input (scanned) somewhere by someone. The IT guy would have to set up that interface/ip address. Were there remote terminals to the server (were they secure). Did they use VPN if so what type?

This is the same pattern as Craig Livingstone.... He is another ‘fencepost turtle’....no one knows how he got there. If immunity was offered, does that mean a grand jury considered charges, then a deal was struck? Can the FBI walk up to someone and say ‘tag, you’re it, you have immunity, then start talking about the misadventures of a cabinet officer?

So why the prosecutorial immunity needed? What am I missing here?

The fact that she may have given him HER email account password once the server was up and running so he could continue to service and maintain it would make him culpable by law.

They may have told him if he cooperates they would dismiss that charge, which if prosecuted could result in a sentence of several years.

Examples of the types of networks or systems that may be air gapped include:

<><>Military/governmental computer networks/systems;[9]

<><>Financial computer systems, such as stock exchanges;[10]

<><> Industrial control systems, such as SCADA in Oil & Gas fields;[11]

....... such a network can generally be regarded as a closed system (in terms of information, signals, and emissions security) unable to be accessed from the outside world. The downside is that transferring information (from the outside world) to be analyzed by computers on the secure network is extraordinarily labor-intensive, often involving human security analysis of prospective programs or data to be entered onto air-gapped networks and possibly even human manual re-entry of the data following security analysis.[8] (WIKI)

IF ALL ELSE FAILS---Judicial Watch could file a Freedom of Information
Act lawsuit to obtain DHS records of all Secret Service expenses incurred
to provide Secy of State Hillary w/ "security and or/other services," etc.......

(NOTE: the original JW filing is WRT to former President Bill's trips
to the Caribbean island of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

(Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Homeland Security (No. 1:15-cv-00915).

I wonder what’s going to happen to Sid Blumenthal?

I have been pondering the same question. Prosecutors need to size Sid up.

Will he remain loyal to a fault? or will he cry Uncle and turn state's evidence.

I suspect a team is following that lead back to Sid's source. More heads will fall. They need to find someone quick that will start to blab openly, take the fall so that the uninformed voters can begin to understand that Hillary took innocent people down with her plans. Yes, very interesting days ahead.

When the NSA leaked the tidbit about Sid where he provided classified info to Hillary, that was an eye opener. I agree someone is ferreting that out. The fact that got leaked was a blow to the White House since Obama supposedly banned Sid from federal employment.

The back and forth between the White House and the FBI and now the NSA provides a very limited insight into the titanic forces that are seething under the surface. That’s going to break out in the very near future.

The media has its orders to down play anything that reflects badly on Hillary. That’s one of the reasons she’s being portrayed as being able to beat Trump in the general when the real outcome is she’ll never make it to the convention.

I’m not sure what Sid will do. If he believes the propaganda he thinks that Hillary has his back. That’s a big mistake. He’s really dumb if he didn’t note Vince Foster’s status chance from an intimate, intimate of Hillary to an arranged corpse displayed in a park.

When Hillary’s aides get personalized subpoenas in May, Sid may see the writing on the Wall. Otherwise he may run the real risk of following in Foster’s footsteps.

The way I read this is that Clinton hired Pagliano to set up her server, but then had the State Department pay his salary by creating a fake job for him there. I would call that a felony. It also exposes the lie that “It was my husband’s server”.
