The ladies of The View discussed the terrorist attacks in Brussels during Tuesday morning’s episode, with co-hosts Joy Behar and Sunny Hostin commending Donald Trump’s response to the attack and fellow host Raven-Symoné warning Americans to be mindful of speech that could “fuel the fire” of international terrorism.
“I’ve been saying this for a while — it’s not official for the government to obviously say — but we’re in a kind of a World War situation,” Symoné said at the start of Tuesday’s episode. “It’s everywhere. And we need to definitely see what’s going on and what’s coming out of our mouths to fuel the fire.”
Hostin added that she is “tired of seeing this over and over again.”
“We are not in a war with the Islamic faith, but we are certainly in a war with terror,” she said. “When does it end and what do we do about it?”
In an unusual twist for the ABC talk show, the women seemed to agree that Trump — whom many of the hosts on the show have mocked mercilessly throughout the presidential campaign — was correct when he assessed in January that “there’s something bad going on” in Brussels.
Hostin and co-host Paula Farris said that Trump’s response to the Brussels attack was stronger than that of his rival, Democrat presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
Still, Symoné remained unimpressed.
“You know me, I’ve been trying to watch [Trump],” she said. “I’m not a very big fan and I look at it and I go, you know he does not understand — I don’t know if it’s a real word, verbage — the verbiage that you use when when you close the door to your house. You say it with your family. You don’t say it on the other side of the door.”

This is cognitive dissonance at work. She knows Trump is right but Political Correctness prevents her from saying it in most cases. The exception? Behind closed doors with loved ones, that’s when she lets the truth come out.
Some day she and others like her will realize they can’t have it both ways, and the proof of the world will show that Trump is right, and it’s time to talk about it on both sides of the door.
I have never heard of “Raven-Symoné” till today, but I can garner from her name and the fact that she appears on the “view” that she must be some sort of nitwit who’s opinion is unworthy of consideration.
If you’re like me, you get your opinions on geopolitics and Constitutional matters from a fat lesbian whose best work occurred when she was six years old.

I’ve been saying that Trump is like that ‘crazy uncle’ at Thanksgiving dinner. Everyone pretends to be aghast at what he says...but secretly agrees with it. She just said the same essentially - she knows he’s right, but would never state the truth out loud like him.

There’s no doubt that Raven Simone is dumber than a box of rocks. Her statements do bring to light the fundamental cognitive dissonance that’s at work here.
Simone is essentially saying that ISIS is bombing Europe because their feelings have been hurt. If we were just nicer and more inclusive they would feel better and stop hurting people. The truth is that ISIS is bombing European cities to create fear and ultimately submission- to wear down their resistance, to terrorize these people in accepting their ultimate dhimmitude. Political Correctness, watching what we say; all this only hastens the ultimate triumph of Islam.
Hillary Clinton has basically made the same statements as Simone.
