Cruz: "It is striking that the day after Donald Trump called for America weakening NATO withdrawing from NATO we see Brussels, where NATO is headquartered, the subject of a radical Islamist terrorist attack."
Cruz supporters: "How dare you say Cruz is blaming Trump for Brussels? Cruz said no such thing."

He’s trying to help the establishment stop Trump so he will hopefully have a job when it’s over. He said he would not go to McConnell “with hat in hand”. But helping stop Trump is exactly that.

Trump should saturate the airwaves in Utah today with Cruz’s response to Trump when he said we need to stop the muslims from coming here until we’ve figured it out.
Ted wants you to see that NATO is important to our global position— not that Trump caused the attack.
NATO is a vital burden sharing agent. It is not a way to simplify our American military purpose.
NATO is our best alternative to expecting the UN to take action on international problems.
NATO is key to containing Russia and preventing Russia from re-taking Europe.
He didn't say "ironic". He said "striking". He said "Gee look...Trump calls for (insert Cruz lie about Trumps position on NATO) and gee the very next day ISIS attack Brussels where Nato is headquartered."
It is crystal clear that he is linking the ISIS attack on Brussells with Trump's (insert Cruz lie about Trumps position on NATO). IN other words, he's laying the blame on trump and his nato position.
Words mean things. And this is EXACTLY what Ted Cruz meant to do.
I have no problem with much of the substance of what Cruz says. That being said, it’s clear he will say anything to win (without regard to any sense of propriety).
Cruz’s “asshat problem” is what would keep him from 270 electoral votes in November, should he get the nomination.
He’s a very poor choice, folks.
Just in case no one has mentioned it, the polls are NOT OPEN in Utah until 7:00pm Mountain Time. It is a caucus and lasts a couple of hours.
I don’t for a minute believe that the attacks will have any effect on the election. The LDS folks that I know here will do exactly what their leaders tell them.
Period.
