Last Friday night, because of threatened and actual violence from the likes of Black Lives Matter, Bernie Sanders supporters, Moveon.org, George Soros paid-for La Raza and even Bill Ayers, Donald Trump was forced to cancel his rally in Chicago.
Naturally in short order the cable networks (including Fox News) got comments from each of Trumps opponents in the Republican primaries. When I saw Ted Cruz getting ready to speak my stomach tightened. I am a strong Trump supporter but I have a deep respect for Cruzs intellect and quick wit. I honestly thought he would say something like I disapprove of what Donald Trump says, but I will defend to the death his right to say it, thereby coming off as a statesman and defender of the 1st Amendment, stealing the moment and perhaps even the following Tuesdays primary elections.
To my immense relief and satisfaction he did not. He immediately launched into an attack on Trump that could have been made by (and to a great extend was) by Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
I was mesmerized by what I saw and enjoyed every word. I soon found myself yelling, Go Teddie go! as Cruz dug himself a hole and committed political suicide on national television.
The following Tuesday, Ohio, North Carolina, Missouri, Florida and the Norther Marianas voted. In Ohio John Kasich won and therein came another blow to Cruz, however veiled it was.
In Ohio and Missouri a cursory look at the voting maps shows that Democrats crossed over to vote for both Kasich and Cruz. In both states they drew their greatest support from Democrat strongholds. he lost my support then but did trump do any better than expected last Tuesday?
I have no idea.
yeah so much for the upholder of the Constitution eh ???
It’ll be interesting to see what his campaign die hards resort to.
Cruz and his establishment buddies will manage to steal Utah. First year of on-line voting promises triple votes the majority of which will be on-line. Oh and a Soros associate is running it.
Then we have that unbelievable, literally, poll with Cruz at 53%, how convenient. I don’t think we can stop them but how many can they rig and will it be enough to stop Trump?
It probably helped Trump win Missouri, at the very least.
Someone better tell the voters in Utah
good
coach is wrong
guess he didn’t think us NY values people would turn out or that he wouldn’t need the 90 or so delegates we give.
WRONG!
LOL otherwise they won’t know lol
After 130 delegates are awarded to someone other than Ted Cruz, Cruz is mathematical eliminated from getting the 1237 needed to gain the nomination
Cruz equivocated right along with Kasich and Rubio, and lost my respect.
To paraphrase Cruz himself: "It could even be written on a baseball cap!"
My dream was to see Trump and Cruz team up and fight Washington instead of each other. Sad that Cruz went that route. I think it will have a negative impact on his future career.
Elucidate, please.
