This week, in the Utah nominating caucus, I will vote for Senator Ted Cruz.
Today, there is a contest between Trumpism and Republicanism. Through the calculated statements of its leader, Trumpism has become associated with racism, misogyny, bigotry, xenophobia, vulgarity and, most recently, threats and violence. I am repulsed by each and every one of these.
The only path that remains to nominate a Republican rather than Mr. Trump is to have an open convention. At this stage, the only way we can reach an open convention is for Senator Cruz to be successful in as many of the remaining nominating elections as possible.
I like Governor John Kasich. I have campaigned with him. He has a solid record as governor. I would have voted for him in Ohio. But a vote for Governor Kasich in future contests makes it extremely likely that Trumpism would prevail.
I will vote for Senator Cruz and I encourage others to do so as well, so that we can have an open convention and nominate a Republican.

Ditto. And that goes for Canuck Ted as well. Let the GOP-Elite traitors reap what they sow.
Nancy Graham, Mittens Romney, and Glenn Beck....You pro-Hillary voters must be so very proud.
You folks need to get over your loss and get behind Trump or you may very well condemn our country to Hillary’s rule.
And I choose Trumpism.
That is because Non-Trump conservatism's ideology as reflected in the Romney Establishment Republican party is a failure. It's open borders and so called misnamed "Free Trade" ideology have had 30 years plus to work and raise our incomes and make us wealthier overall but it has n ot - this is empirical data that can't be refuted. If there was a tide that came in because of globalization it has not lifted all boats - nor a plurality of boats if many at all. The vast majority of boats in America took on water and are sinking or have been sunk.
That is why a conservative magazine that serves as the unofficial propaganda arm of the conservative movement - The National Review - said that if the populations (mostly blue collar whites but not exclusively so) who could not survive free trade and open borders of the conservative ideology should die off.

We the people, many Republicans, many independents and many (blue dog or Reagan) Democrats are done with you GOP and Democrat party Establishment pukes.
Be thankful to whatever pagan gods you Establishment types really worship that the revolution is coming via the ballot box and not via bullets.
Wow, so Trump has now been endorsed by Lindsay Graham, Glenn Beck, and Mitt Romney! What a crew!
But listen to them howl he’s not
Absolute denial world they live
The GOP establishment prefers Cruz to Trump
They don’t like Cruz but they can survive him
Trump is kryptonite to them
Trump is holding a Town Hall in Salt Lake City tonight..should be a barn burner ... look out Romney !
Wow, so he votes for Cruz so he can have someone else win at a convention. This is not a Cruz endorsement, it’s a anti Trump statement
Don’t be misled by any establishment support for Cruz. First, they came to him; he didn’t go to them (nor did he sell anybody out in the process). Second, it’s merely temporary. The establishment’s intent is to hold Trump short of a majority at the convention.
Whereupon, the establishment will immediately abandon Cruz — whom they want even less than Trump — and attempt to impose their own candidate on the delegates.
At that point, I would expect Cruz and Trump to join forces and fight off the establishment candidate.
Question: If my forecast of events is correct, would you then accept the result of a third ballot head-to-head showdown between Trump and Cruz?
I think he joined or, or if not joining himself, he recruited CFR inner sanctum advisory for his Foreign Policy team
after Heidi had joined. Pretty sure about that but I’ll check the sources for a tineline of Trump bringing the CFRs aboard..
Ok whatever you say.
You guys are going to need to come up with some better spin than that.
Openly siding with the Gope to “win” is just confirming every criticism of him!
Governor William J. Le Petomane (Mitt Romney): We have to protect our phoney baloney jobs here, gentlemen! We must do something about this immediately! Immediately! Immediately! Harrumph! Harrumph! Harrumph!
Poor Ted. He just got the kiss of death.
Link?
Trump talks of Romney as “failed” yet Romney has gone further than Trump in pursuit of the nomination — he actually obtained it.
Mitt....Twice, Now Thrice....a loser....
“Dont be misled by any establishment support for Cruz. First, they came to him; he didnt go to them (nor did he sell anybody out in the process). Second, its merely temporary. The establishments intent is to hold Trump short of a majority at the convention.”
So then why is he tweeting happy thanks to this fool for he endorsement?
Misled my rear. Cruz wants it both ways, and is happy to give these charlatans what they want so he can play like he is a mover and shaker.
Good post - there’s still a few courageous dyed in the wool conservatives on this board.
Helps in Utah. All other large Mormon states have voted: ID, NV, HI... The other places it could well hurt more than help.
Romneycare is Obamacare, and Ted just let himself get hoisted on his own Pike with accepting the Romney endorsement.
Do you remember Romney would not denounce Romney/Obamacare
so How Can Ted Ever Say he is getting rid of it but accept its author as an endorser.
First Beck, now Mitt?
Can Cruz have any MORE misfortune?
