Graham begrudgingly backs Cruz to stop Trump: 'He's certainly not my preference'

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham is supporting Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's bid for the White House, CNN Chief Political Correspondent Dana Bash first reported Thursday afternoon.

According to CNN, Graham will host a fundraiser in support of the Republican candidate on Monday during the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) policy conference in Washington, D.C.

This election season Graham has been far from shy about his dislike for both Cruz and billionaire businessman Donald Trump, whom he called a "nut job."

Last month, Graham said the Republican Party had "gone batsh** crazy."He added that Cruz was so despised among his colleagues that "if you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you."

Linda did this more to hurt Cruz than help. My guess is he figured this might assist John Kossack by depressing the vote for Ted. Another failed attempt to divide what appears to be a Trump/Cruz ticket.
