Ted Cruz fought his way to second place in the Republican primary as the conservative who never compromises. But already, hes learning to stretch.
Behind closed doors, Cruzs aides are talking about how to draw more centrist supporters as Republican rivals drop out. They have given former Jeb Bush donors access to the entire campaign leadership team. And Cruz has made overtures to Senate colleagues who despise him, praising Mitch McConnell and Marco Rubio and talking by phone with Lindsey Graham.

Ha....maybe they take a foam bath together.
Wide is the gate that leadeth to destruction...
Former Bush donors have access to the campaign. Huh. That says all you need to know that Cruz’s campaign is slowly swirling down the drain.
Freepers who support this guy should be ashamed.
Any discussions by Cruz with the NY Slimes or with Ben Carson about how “flexible” he is or that he doesn’t really “mean what he says”?
And Ted is not a child of the Establishment? Upon his graduation from Harvard Law School, Ted joined the Establishment as a junior partner. He, like the prodigal son in scripture, had a period of rebellion. As the benefits of rebellion are running out, he has decided to go home. After appropriate repentance he will be welcomed back and begin doing the establishment’s will. After all he is a child of the establishment.
realizing they have already lost, panic sets in and desperate measures are schemed
It ain't happening, even if Trump's campaign implodes and Trump suspends.
Holy Shift?
Cruz makes overtures to Mitch, Ryan, Marco and Lindsey. Ryan and Mitch placed calls to Trump. Cruz will be given an offer that he will be told he can’t refuse. Trump’s conversations will most likely be just the other way around.
“praising Mitch McConnell “
But I thought he was a liar?!?!?!?
My wife had already moved on from Cruz but when she read about hiring Neil bush and getting other Bush backers on board, she found him repellant.
Yeah, well, I lied, but I didn't mean it.
That is what worries me.
When they realize they cannot win at the ballot box, which box will they open next?
In a flat spin about to auger in and he decides he need to change the position of his seat? He needs to bail.
Forget the Republican nomination. I’d like a Cruz supporter to explain their path to the Presidency when they got less than 20% of the Republican vote in Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. If you can’t robustly compete in these battleground states, then there’s no path to the Presidency.
1. Most politicians are lawyers.
2. Lawyers are more interested in winning than seeking justice.
3. winning requires sacrificing principles
4. If you sacrifice principles, you are worthless.
5. Politicians are worthless.
Cruz will betray his principles and grovel before his masters.
Trump already started his shift.

They will screw around but in the end they can not overcome the force arrayed against them
The boxes are actually illusion
