Former Bush donors have access to the campaign. Huh. That says all you need to know that Cruz’s campaign is slowly swirling down the drain.

Any discussions by Cruz with the NY Slimes or with Ben Carson about how “flexible” he is or that he doesn’t really “mean what he says”?

And Ted is not a child of the Establishment? Upon his graduation from Harvard Law School, Ted joined the Establishment as a junior partner. He, like the prodigal son in scripture, had a period of rebellion. As the benefits of rebellion are running out, he has decided to go home. After appropriate repentance he will be welcomed back and begin doing the establishment’s will. After all he is a child of the establishment.

Forget the Republican nomination. I’d like a Cruz supporter to explain their path to the Presidency when they got less than 20% of the Republican vote in Florida, Ohio, and Virginia. If you can’t robustly compete in these battleground states, then there’s no path to the Presidency.

1. Most politicians are lawyers.
2. Lawyers are more interested in winning than seeking justice.
3. winning requires sacrificing principles
4. If you sacrifice principles, you are worthless.
5. Politicians are worthless.

Cruz will betray his principles and grovel before his masters.

Gee.
“Natural-born citizenship” would sure be nice.

Waaaay to late for that, though.

“... praising Mitch McConnell ...”

The article provides NO evidence to support that phrase.

This seems to be yet another cynical and baseless lie meant to discourage conservatives from supporting Ted Cruz.

Perhaps the MAIN REASON that many of us knew we couldn’t trust Cruz...

...because if he wants the support of the GOPe, which he obviously does now, he must get it on THEIR TERMS. And it looks as though he’s now caving to those terms.

Cruz will say anything that he thinks will get him elected.
Cruz is politician and is not a conservative he just plays one on TV.

This is how all politicians are, all owned, all corrupt and liars. We all know this universal truth. As evidence of this ask yourself what Good law have politicians passed that helps America in the last 100 years? There have been none only more government, more bad trade deals, more debt , more trade deficits, more immigrants, etc.

And people believe Cruz is different because he can lie better? Give me a break.

Cruz has always been an insider. Now he is running to his fellow senators like OJ found his Blackness when he got in trouble.

Every campaign must try to attract more voters and endorsements without watering down or compromising core beliefs.

The article, although it is from Politico, does at least acknowledge that Cruz "shows no sign of shifting on policy".

And the praising of McConnell was specifically about McConnell's hard line stance about Obama's Supreme nominees. It was not an apology for calling him a liar, because McConnell did lie. Ted is not likely to ever back away from that.

yep. at some point very soon, one of cruz’s qualifications over trump will be that he has more experience in government, and that he can move the levers more effectively should he wind up in office.

that’s going to freak some people out, but it’s absolutely going to happen very soon.
