Trump has not demonstrated conservative credentials to the extent I would vote for him over Cruz. He certainly know how to run his mouth, though. Cruz is about the only major political figure I’ve seen in decades who does not bow to popular opinion, but stays the course.

Maybe so but she would represent a huge net gain.
I am in Engineering too and have been impacted by the same.
Carson bought that phoney Iowa stuff so he is really not an option.

He has no realistic way to gain enough delegates to win the nomination so he is now only in it to get to a brokered convention. For that he is a useful tool of the GOPe.
I could have hung with him as the second choice and him staying in the race if he had not brought Neil Bush on board, disavowed the move my the party to trash Trump at any cost to retain power, and not embraced their moves.
It is clear he has cut a deal and the only ones who lose are those fighting to stop the GOPe selling out American citizens and workers.

Yeah Cruz who wrote and op-ed with Paul Ryan urging Congress to pass TPA/TPP suddenly claiming McConnell tricked him into voting for TPA/TPP does not pass the smell test. Did McConnell also “trick” Cruz into writing that op-ed? Cruz is a liar.

Or supporting the Patriot Act and it's reimplementation. Not entirely true. In fact, Cruz stands out as one of the few republicans trying to reign in the private data collection authorized under the original Patriot Act.

"Endorsed by snarly."
This is why I don't take Trump or his cult members seriously.
I'll answer your question anyway: Yes, Cruz is still an outsider. It's only because Trump is such a horrible choice that Cruz is getting any establishment support at all.
Is the GOPe trying to "use" him to stop Trump? Sure. But I'm fine with them accepting Cruz as the lesser evil. Because, Trump is certainly the greater evil.

Yes, as I do. Not beautiful, not pretty, not good looking, not cute, but “attractive”. A category I put many women in who don’t fit the other descriptions yet some how as you said are “strangely attractive”.
I, like Trump, LOVE women. (especially my wife)

Don’t you get? Anyone who is not for Trump is an entrenched establishment puppet. All those people who spent the past six years actually taking on Democrats and the Republican leadership are fake. Only the guy who was donating to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Shumer and Reid and supporting the Communist Mayor De Blasio is the real outsider and conservative champion. Duh.

knowing he has stated he now looks forward to a contested convention Where is Cruz wrong here?
A contested convention is a different thing where you go if nobody gets 1,237 and youve got two front-runners. Look, Reagan and Ford battled it out in a contested convention. Thats what conventions are for, Cruz said. If youre fighting with the candidates that have earned the votes of the people and its the delegates at the convention who elected to do that, thats the way the system works.
Why do you make stuff up? And Cruz is the dishonest one? Riiight.

Brilliant coup. Not YUUUUUGE news but good enough, maybe worth 5% in Florida. Right smack in Rubio's back yard. Rubbed his face in it. And we know there is no love lost between her and Trump so that's a bonus point. It's going to coalesce. RUBIO needs to hang it up and get out of this race now. Florida is completely OVER for Marco. Save what you have left, man.
