"Billionaires, tech CEOs and top members of the Republican establishment flew to a private island resort off the coast of Georgia this weekend for the American Enterprise Institute's annual World Forum, according to sources familiar with the secretive gathering.
The main topic at the closed-to-the-press confab? How to stop Republican front-runner Donald Trump.
Apple CEO Tim Cook, Google co-founder Larry Page, Napster creator and Facebook investor Sean Parker, and Tesla Motors and SpaceX honcho Elon Musk all attended. So did Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), political guru Karl Rove, House Speaker Paul Ryan, GOP Sens. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Cory Gardner (Colo.), Tim Scott (S.C.), Rob Portman (Ohio) and Ben Sasse (Neb.), who recently made news by saying he "cannot support Donald Trump."

Rob Portman? Ugh. No surprise I guess after his gay marriage flip flop.
Apple and Google and their likes really dont need to import more cheap foreign laborers. Theyve got thousands and thousands of them already - cant even build enough offices to house them all. And these firms can do this work overseas too and pay the same foreigners even less to do it there. So, theres something else motivating these guys. Id like to hear what it might be. (And meanwhile theyve gotta be stopped of course)

No, no. They want even more HB-1 visas! I have a close relative that works with these people, in this industry. The visas are controlled by the sponsoring companies, Google, Facebook, Apple etc and they depress the wages because the slot is owned by the company and they have to ask permission to move to a different company.
Except, the large tech companies who use these workers have a private pact between themselves not to offer employment to each others employees, which again, suppress wages.
Its a real mess out there right now. Its so expensive to live there, these companies feed these kids at work to get them to work round the clock, yet some of these kids cannot buy food due to the cost of rent. Its unbelievable!
The hate is pouring out of them and it sure has done a number of people. I continually have to ‘check out’ and try and forget we are in the middle of this nightmare. So much greed and evil works, it can truly wreck the soul.
I hope all these freaks fail and we can finally turn the tide on this sinking ship.
I see a newer better America in the future, a lot of waste is going to be flushed down the sewers.
I don’t know how he does it, to keep going into the fire and remain steadfast! I keep him, and truly all those willing to put themselves through this, in my prayers.
We can’t afford something so awful as a ‘hit’ to happen, our country will spiral.
"The key task now, to once again paraphrase Karl Marx, is less to understand Trump than to stop him," Kristol wrote. "In general, there's a little too much hand-wringing, brow-furrowing, and fatalism out there and not quite enough resolving to save the party from nominating or the country electing someone who simply shouldn't be president."
Here's Bill Kristol, above, quoting and paraphrasing Karl Marx.
Is this something any conservative would do? Even by accident?
Irving Kristol, Bill's father, coined the label "neo-con" to describe those Democrats who defected to the Republican party in the 1960s-1970s. They were the Trotskyite Democrats; now are the Trotskyite Republicans; the neo-cons; the RINOs. They are the globalist communists who have controlled the GOP for five decades, masquerading as capitalists. They are crony communists.
I won’t hold my breath waiting for Ted to denounce this filth. He can’t even bring himself to call out crazy Beck. He’s so deep in this it sux.
The hate is pouring out of them and it sure has done a number of people. I continually have to check out and try and forget we are in the middle of this nightmare. So much greed and evil works, it can truly wreck the soul.

It does not matter if you like Trump or not.
The scary thing is the level of the hatred directed at one person for stating what they want to do for the people of our country.
I truly believe all this piling on will only help Trump...people are not stupid - they see what’s going on, and who is involved.
If Donald can win decisively tomorrow, and take Florida and hopefully Ohio next week, there’ll be nothing stopping him.
I’m with you, we do know it but when it’s so in-your-face, it takes on a different urgency.
And no, you’re not losing your mind, some of them DID come out for Cruz. That tells me everything I need to know about him, and it doesn’t bode well imho.
I keep looking around and asking, has Cruz called out crazy Beck yet?? WTH not??!!!
"The Creature from Jekyll Island" was the book.
You are so right about Kristol.
Trump discussing the Iraq war, effectively rejecting the “Bush Doctrine” that the Neo Cons are so proud of has made them even more enraged.
There are people running for office who are loaded with the Bush Neocons as advisors. The Chertoff group et al.
I bet you know who.
We have had “Republican poseurs for decades, and if they destroy TRUMP, we can add one more poseur. Ted Cruz.
Reagan like TRUMP, was an anomaly. Once in a generation men.
The powers tried to get Reagan too. Pray there is a backlash to the global attack on TRUMP.
All Vichy Republican collborators. I’d like to see Rove laying there with an apple in his mouth..
Chad Sweet is campaign chairman. Sweet is the co-founder of the security-focused Chertoff Group, a group he started with former Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff after serving as his chief of staff.
Yes. Trump has to bring this up in the debate. It could help him on Tuesday.
Yes Jane, you got it!
I have a really good link too! Check this out.

Agree. But at this time the whole conservative thing is over rated. Principles are fine and work well in a traditional principled system run by honorable people. But we haven’t had that for decades. We have decline, betrayal, control and over regulation, not conservatism. This here is an all out fight to save the country from loser leadership and it’s reckless costly controlling policies.
The Chertoff group? Bush’s former homeland security boss?
[And this is why we must begin and complete the most thorough purge of the party in history.]
These guys are really quite the pieces of work.
