For the past 4 years, we've heard Mark Levin tell his radio audience that this time around, conservatives need to rally behind one conservative who can actually beat the establishment. As near as I can tell, Levin seems to have gone silent on that point in recent months.
As we watch the GOPe ramp up their attacks on Trump, borrowing from the Mississippi playbook of dirty tricks, wouldn't now be the time to rally around the only candidate who can take out the GOPe - Trump? Any thoughts?
The more I learned about him and the more I heard him speak, the less I liked him. He originally hid who and what he is. Now that the masks are falling from him, we discover that we were fooled and lied to.
Trump, warts and all, is the ONLY worthy candidate this time around.
It certainly is all about jobs and the economy AND the invasion of the ILLEGAL HORDE.
Hamilton and Burr!
That's WHY we now have a two party system, because at first, the person with the most votes became president and the person who got the second most votes became VEEP. That worked out okay for Washington, but began to fall apart afterwards.
But of course the N.Y. state GOP is a mess; it has been for DECADES!
Yes, this IS the death knell of the GOP; they are quickly approaching WHIG status.
If Ted REALLY “stood for the Constitution”, he would NOT be running for the presidency, as he is INELIGIBLE !
Being a Union president is not being a conservative activist.
Reagan attended Eureka College, a Disciples-oriented liberal arts school, where he became a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, a cheerleader, and studied economics and sociology. While involved, the Miller Center of Public Affairs described him as an "indifferent student." He majored in Economics and graduated with a C average.[18] He developed a reputation as a jack of all trades, excelling in campus politics, sports and theater. He was a member of the football team and captain of the swim team. He was elected student body president and led a student revolt against the college president after he tried to cut back the faculty.[19]He was subsequently chosen by the membership to serve seven additional one-year terms, from 1947 to 1952 and in 1959.[42] Reagan led SAG through eventful years that were marked by labor-management disputes, the Taft-Hartley Act, House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) hearings and the Hollywood blacklist era.[42]
He joined numerous political committees with a left-wing orientation, such as the American Veterans Committee. He fought against Republican-sponsored right-to-work legislation and for [Democrat] Helen Gahagan Douglas in 1950, when she was defeated for the Senate by Richard Nixon. It was his realization that Communists were a powerful backstage influence in those groups, that led him to rally his friends against them.[63] Reagan spoke frequently at rallies with a strong ideological dimension; in December 1945, he was stopped from leading an anti-nuclear rally in Hollywood by pressure from the Warner Bros. studio. He would later make nuclear weapons a key point of his presidency, specifically his opposition to mutually assured destruction, building on previous efforts to limit the spread of nuclear weapons to a new focus to reduce the numbers and types of them.[64] In the 1948 election, Reagan strongly supported Harry S. Truman, appearing on stage with him during a campaign speech in Los Angeles.
Reagan was a Democrat even through the Fifties.
Yes, but since Burr killed Hamilton in a duel, my contrast has greater impact.
Far too many, here, keep wishing for a Trump/Cruz ticket.
And Jefferson HATED Hamilton, far more than he hated Burr, whom he thoroughly detested.
Were going to see things that disturb and amaze us to our cores, before this is all over.
You certainly got that right. This is going to be a traumatic and dramatic year in many ways.

You both got that right.
Thank you, Canedawg.
I have a very bad feeling that some very bad things are on the way. I’ve never felt it like this before.
Levin has already jumped the shark.
At this point I don’t see how he could ever back Trump without losing whatever credibility he has left.
“Ive never seen them so negative on the potential of Trumps campaign to date as they were Sunday.”
They’re not called “insiders” for nothing. They know the fix is in. They know stuff we don’t, and probably never will.
“Cruz made a terrible choice, when he slammed N.Y. State, then said “sorry” ( which he didn’t mean at all ), and then slammed NYC. Then he gave a stupid, not believable second apology.”
And I hope Trump’s campaign has the video ready to play over and over again when stumping in NY and FL.
I agree this is like civil war. Emotions are just over the top. I am that way myself. My best friend called me this morning freaking out because of Mitt Romney. She’s terrified that Trump is going to lose.
“Ill tell you three differences between Trump and Clinton. Trump never caused anyones death, especially an ambassadors. Trumps voice doesnt make me want to stab myself in both ears with a screwdriver. Trumps wife is better looking than Hillarys wife.”
Very good!
“A court-room isnt make believe, but it is a contrived setting with clear pre-determined rules of operation.”
And Cruz is praised because he’s presented cases before SCOTUS, which is even less “real world” than a typical attorney. In the SCOTUS, each side has 30 minutes to present his case. “Present” means reading verbatim a script. The presenter has had months, perhaps years, to have his staff of paralegals prepare the 30-minute script that he will read.
Give me someone who can think on his feet and make quick decisions.
“Trump is not conservative and definitely not a constitutional conservative.”
Where have you been? The word, “conservative”, means nothing any more. If Cruz is a conservative then I guess “conservative” means lying to get votes, intimidating to get votes, giving the finger to the Constitution regarding citizenship, flim-flamming campaign funds to pay off loans. Thanks, but no thanks. Not for me. We should be better than that.
