If Cruz is a conservative then I guess “conservative” means lying to get votes, intimidating to get votes, giving the finger to the Constitution regarding citizenship, flim-flamming campaign funds to pay off loans. Conservative means what it has meant since the 50s/60s. Small government, U.S. constitutional republic, rule of law, not man. Individual rights, liberty, freedom, free enterprise system..
