Eager to lock up the GOP nomination without a convention fight, Donald Trump battled Saturday to pad his lead in the delegate count as four more states delivered verdicts on the fractious Republican race for president. Democrats in three states were choosing between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
Saturdays GOP races in Maine, Kansas, Kentucky and Louisiana and Democratic contests in Nebraska, Kansas and Louisiana were largely overshadowed by Super Tuesday contests in the rear-view mirror and critical contests soon to come. But with front-runner Trump yet to win states by the margins hell need in order to secure the nomination before the GOP convention, every one of the 155 GOP delegates at stake on Saturday was worth fighting for.
Trump skipped a promised appearance at a convention of conservatives in the Washington area to get in one last morning rally in Kansas.
With the GOP race in chaos, establishment figures frantically are looking for any way to stop Trump, perhaps at a contested convention if none of the candidates can roll up the 1,237 delegates needed to snag the nomination.
The Republicans are eating their own. Theyve got to be very careful, Trump said in Wichita. We have to bring things together.

Cruz is should win KS today and the other 3 states will be close. Trump is looking for 69 of the 155 delegates today. Then he will see be ahead of the pace needed to hit a majority by the convention.
I think if Trump had simply stuck to arguing why his plans were better instead of launching personal attacks on his competitors, he would have already wrapped up the nomination. I think he got bad advice, and it was a strategic mistake. He should have reserved the vitriol for responding to those who attacked him because that is when it worked.
Just my opinion. On the other hand, he is not far from wrapping it up now. He is still my second choice after Cruz.
Yeah I doubt he drinks as well, not with the schedule he keeps, it could be a skin condition called rosea but still, I was watching him in the last debate, and damn if he didn’t look like a boozer. I think that could be it, he could have rosea and he uses the orange make up to cover it
Trump has said that he has never drank alcohol or coffee, taken drugs or smoked cigarettes.
I don’t understand the not drinking coffee bit. I mean that stuff is GOOD for you.
CNN just called Kansas for Cruz. Looks like quite a big margin with 49% of the vote in. Cruz has 47% to 24% for Trump.
I totally agree, I think he’s in trouble
"The Republicans are eating their own. They've got to be very careful," Trump said in Wichita. "We have to bring things together."
Yeah, it makes me wonder if this guy is entirely truthful. His brother Fred Jr. died of alcoholism in 1981 when he was only 43, that is some hardcore boozing, so Trump I would assume has that genetic risk as well. It could very well be he is clean, but I just don’t understand the bloated Ted Kennedy like red face. For his sake I hope he isn’t a bottle tipper, because if it’s found out that he is, his campaign is finished, and the way they are going after him, I don’t even have to guess they will find out eventually if he is.
You don't have to be an alcoholic to have an eccentric personality. From what I've heard, Trump does not drink alcohol at all, and I believe him on that. It's possible that he stopped drinking completely after he saw what happened to that brother. As for the redness of his facial skin, that could be from sun exposure in a lightly complected individual.
