CPAC: Jan Brewer, former Arizona governor, says it’s time for GOP to back Donald Trump
The Washington Times ^ | March 4, 2016 | Kelly Riddell

Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said Friday it’s time for Republicans to coalesce around GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump and stop their divisive plans to deride the business mogul’s path to the nomination.

“I hate to see this happening to the Republican Party. We’ve always been the party of the big tent and shouldn’t be eating our own,” Ms. Brewer told The Washington Times at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “Everybody needs to come together and coalesce behind our candidate.”

“Trump should say he’s not going to CPAC because there will be an insane lunatic roaming the place, fantasizing stabbing me.”

ROFL!! Nice! Trump just might. I hope he does.

Temple organized a similar walkout last year during Jeb Bush’s speech at CPAC that drew around 300 protesters.”

Not a Jeb fan at all, but I find that disgusting.

Its just stupid to keep up with this anti-Trump nonsense. Let’s say he does get to the convention with a huge delegate haul but just enough to deny him an outright nomination because of these foolish character assassination attempts like smearing him as a racist. If he doesn’t end up with it he his supporters will be gone as will the GOP because at least a third . What I see in so many of these anti-Trumps is an insane power hungry narcissism that rivals anything that Trump demonstrates. Trump gains nothing from this campaign. He already has power and money and if anything he is sacrificing his brand in many respects. I really have come to believe Trump is doing this for the country and regardless of his sometimes rudeness, brashness, and boldness I believe he would make a refreshing change to the Presidency. He’d never cower in front of the Press or bow to our enemies. He’d empower our soldiers and get rid of the politically correct nonsense that has infiltrated our military. No he wouldn’t be perfect but I think this nation can suffer trying a private sector President for once in its history.

They are all purists who just happen to live in DC.

The only thing these "purist" are pure about is their lust for power and the love of other peoples money without having to work for it.

And they call Trump a con man, heh.

WE must always listen to what they say because they reveal what they are.

Good ol Brewer, still not a conservative, still a tool, still completely useless.

Maybe she is smart enough to realize if we don't knock off this stupid fighting in these debates and the media we're going to end up with a Bush, Rubio or even Romney candidate.

Is that what you prefer?

You mean until they select our candidate for us and expect us to fall in like good little serfs.

Not me and especially not this time around.

Cruz or Trump or I'll probably writ in or stay home.

Well since they all suck anyway it really doesn’t matter. And the whole “stop fighting in the primaries” idea has always been dumb. That’s what the primaries are FOR, that’s when they race against EACH OTHER. Look how long Hillary and Obie fought in the primaries, didn’t stop him from winning the election eventually.

At this point “the GOP” shouldn’t get behind Trump or any candidate. I assume she means elders/establishment/elites.

They should let the candidates talk, the PACs run ads, and the voters vote. If individuals (i.e. Brewer) want to endorse Trump or Cruz or even Jeb! they should be allowed to without fear of retaliation from the party.

They should be trying to figure out how to use the new voters Trump may be bringing into the party. That could require a different marketing campaign for senate - potentially new states that would have been ignored before. And, if they do thing right they’ll keep some of those voters even if someone else ends up with more delegates than Trump. At the moment they just seem determined to chase those voters out of the party no matter who the nominee is.

his sometimes rudeness, brashness, and boldness

The very tool he was forced to use to break through the political correctness of the media that prevented anyone from talking about the problem of the illegal alien invasion.

How else could he get any coverage?

And the whole “stop fighting in the primaries” idea has always been dumb.

The fighting is by design to get people to tune out of politics.

The result is that you only have the diehards on each side of the isle and then it becomes who can turn out the voters.

Debate are great, what we are seeing is the media continue to manipulate the people.

It's time we learned and not play the game.

Why bother, you seem to think the rules apply equally to both sides.

They don't.

Did you hear anyone call Hillary a racist for standing up against Obama?

How many time have we been called racist for objecting to his policies....it still hasn't stopped.
