Former Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb wont be voting for Hillary Clinton, but he hasnt ruled out casting his ballot for Donald Trump.
Webb, who briefly flirted with an independent bid before deciding against it, said on Friday morning that the Democratic frontrunner wasn't inspirational.
"I would not vote for Hillary Clinton, Webb said on MSBNC's "Morning Joe."
When asked if he'd vote for Trump, Webb said he wasn't closed to the idea. I'm not sure yet. I don't know who I'm going to vote for, he said.

So basically like many Democrats.
"Did Muslim Vote In Virginia Swing Senate Control"
'The Detroit Free Press reports Muslims played a critical role in the November midterm elections.
Imam Mahdy Bray, Speaking at a Muslim American Society and Islamic Circle of North America convention in Dearborn, highlighted the effective effort to turn out Muslim voters in Virginia:
The effort was so organized that Muslim taxi drivers in northern Virginia took the day off to ferry Muslims to the polls, said Imam Mahdy Bray, a speaker at the convention. Volunteers also made phone calls to Muslims in Virginia to urge them to vote, he said.
As a result, Democrat James Webb ousted incumbent Republican George Allen by about 9,000 votes in a race in which 50,000 Muslims went to the polls -- 47,000 of them voting for Webb, Bray said.
For my money Senator Allen gets all the credit for running a losing campaign. Nevertheless, if 96 percent of Muslims are going to vote Democratic, that would make them a more reliable Democratic constituency than African Americans. Democrats consistently receive only about 90 percent of African American votes.
Right! You cute chubby-cheeked little boy you! :)
Having retired, moved and started a new business, I’ve been away from FreeRepublic for a while. Not much change noted.
But the Trump phenomenon is certainly illuminating broad discourse here.
Seems to me that too many freepers are overly intent on pushing a narrow point of view towards the various Rep candidates.
To me, the question is two fold: who can beat Hillary; who will take the United States back to being a democratic republic? Trump has the best shot at winning, IMHO, due to getting out the vote and cross-overs (especially if Republicans eventually support him...). As far as returning the US to Constitutionality as a democratic republic, he beats the probability of the establishment Republicans who have only disappointed and can only be expected to continue to do so.
The Revolution against Britain that secured us as a nation was a greater risk than electing Donald Trump. May God bless America!
Webb is a strange bird. He could have been one of the better Senators (not only in his own party, but in the entire Senate) if he had voted for his stated ideas and principles. Instead, he showed little of his fighting spirit while in office, and voted with his party most of the time. Webb even did this on issues where his stated positions were completely opposite to the Democratic party in particular and the political establishment in general.
However, he's still head and shoulders above most of his party, both on account of his military service and the fact that he takes pride in his Scotch-Irish southern heritage, unlike the rest of the Democratic race panderers who grovel before "minorities" and apologize for being white.
Why, because that meme was strongest emotional trigger in your focus group?
You're nothing but a shill disrupter, a paid hack for Hillary.
Hers a meme, traitor: HILLARY IS A SUICIDE BET.
Bob Dole was an atrocious candidate. Military experience or no, he did not deserve to win. John McCain was unhinged even back in 2000.
You’re not getting First Lieutenant James Henry Webb, USMC.
You’re getting Politician Worst Class James Henry Webb, former ‘Rat Fink Governor of Virginia.
SENATOR. Not Governor.
Webb is right. We really don't know what we would get with Trump, since he's changed his positions on issue after issue so many times. It's a gamble - he could do a lot of good, a lot of bad, or just continue the status quo slide.
I voted for Trump because I'm willing to take that gamble, because the alternatives to Trump who have an actual chance of winning: Hillary and establishment Republicans like Rubio, are guaranteed to be bad news. With Trump, at least we have a prayer that something good will get accomplished.
Making Cruz and Rubio the full of crap candidates.
You Trumpophiles are amusing.
That could help Trump in Virginia, at least.
You Hillary shills are not.
Webb would make a good running mate or cabinet member for Trump.
Webb would still be a Republican today if the populist and noninterventionist wing hadn’t been demonized and driven out during the 1990s.
“Hillary shill”, another good one.
You find strange things amusing. You're anti-Trump, so who do you intend to vote for, given that Hillary is the alternative? Or is just splitting the party your goal, to enable her to win that way?
Do you even understand these concepts, or aren't they in your approved response database?
Angling for VP?
Your condiscention is noted and rejected.
As far as who I am or am not voting for is none of your business.
