Trump: 'Everything is negotiable'

Donald Trump on Monday did not refute a report claiming he told The New York Times editorial board in an off-the-record meeting that his immigration views are in fact more flexible than he has made them seem throughout his presidential campaign.

"Everything is negotiable," Trump said Monday on Fox News, responding to a question about whether the report, which undermines Trump's hardline stance on immigration, was accurate.

Cruz is a punk and a puke, a total reprobate and a disgrace to his faith.

Video: Donald Trump In His Own Words

No spin, No analysis, Just Donald Trump in his own words.

If Trump's own words don't cause his supporters concern, nothing will.

Ted Cruz has never stated support for Government run Universal Healthcare.

Ted Cruz has never stated support for increasing taxes.

Ted Cruz has never self-identified as a Democrat.

Ted Cruz has never stated he hates the concept of guns.

Ted Cruz has never stated Republicans are too crazy.
(Though he has called Mitch McConnell a liar on the Senate floor)

Ted Cruz has never stated his views are in line with New York values, not Iowa values

Ted Cruz has never been pro-choice or has supported partial-birth abortion and has never supported Planned Parenthood.

Ted Cruz has never said Hillary was best qualified to make a deal with Iran.

Ted Cruz has never supported Nancy Pelosi and her desire to impeach George W. Bush.

Ted Cruz has never stated Barack Obama was smart, knows what he's doing, is what we need.

Ted Crus is not a friend of Hillary Clinton or great friend of her husband.

Ted Cruz has never said the economy seems to do better under Democrats.

Funny how all of a sudden the media is for the most part silent regarding Trump. They are just salivating hoping he is our candidate.

FWIW, teachers unions support it, but most members don’t.

You just answered your own question; Democrats support it. And the scary part in the picture is what will Trump replace Common Core with?

And ObamaCare? Same thing...no games. Just a simple vote to drop the mandate will do.

That's not what Trump is talking about. He has promise to repeal Obamacare and replace it with...something or other, I don't think he's known what. And repeal the mandate and costs go up. But Trump isn't opposed to higher spending and bigger government.

Nobody could vote against just that and still be re-elected. Obamacare will wither away.

I imagine those who lose their coverage might be a bit miffed about it.

Isn’t that the case for everything in life? All things are negotiable? Reagan negotiated. The key is, where do you start from, and how good a negotiator are you?

Saying these things also makes Trump more palatable to the RINO and Democrat Elitists/Globalists who will certainly either sabotage him, or kill him outright.

Now that you've had a good cry, go back to your Trump room

I am doing anything but crying. It is you that is crying. If you can't have your way you are not going to participate.

Will this be your first no show, or were you a no show in 2008 and/or 2012 as well? If so, that worked out really swell didn't it.

No I am not crying because the person I support is sitting in the drivers seat. While your candidate is not even situated at shotgun. Instead he is sitting in the back seat and is bow siding with the shotgun passenger. Oh that's okay because the shotgun passenger, according to some (National Review) has him at a lifetime rating of 98% while others have a more realistic, yet still too high rating of 79%. So even the rating of Susan Collins at 14% (who actually rates lower than Bernie Sanders 15%) is better than Trump at 0%. Only accurate because Trump has never been a politician.

While having a conservative is important to me as well, having a fighter is also important. I think Ted is a fighter but apparently not as good a fighter, otherwise, he would be in the drivers seat.

Ted had ample opportunity to pick up the mantle of immigration and make it his as well but he didn't. Is that because he doesn't see immigration to be a big problem, or was it just fear that he would lose support if he had taken it up? We will never know. But either way it has played against him.

Cruz won Iowa, but has placed 3rd in all the other primaries and caucuses. Polls show him in 3rd in many of the primaries being held today, and has a lead that is within the margin of error in Texas.

I'm not trying to be mean but you have effectively placed blinders on yourself and as a result suffer from tunnel vision. You have allowed others to convince you that Trump is bad, and not only bad, but evil as well.. This is not only a detriment to our country, but to you and your family as well.

By all means vote for Ted is the primaries, but when it is all over and done with you must join other conservatives as myself and get Trump elected. He really is our best shot, despite all of his warts. On top of that it makes us more legitimate if we have to oppose him because all of your fears prove to be correct.

II obviously do not share those fears, not because I summarily dismiss them, but rather because they cannot be substantiated. I work with the known and not fear. Donald has always exhibited a love for this country, and that reality is what I am placing my support upon. Not some hyped up case to invoke and play upon fear.

Anyway, think long and hard about your well intentioned, but badly misplaced commitment. It is neither conservative not the correct commitment to have. That commitment should be with regards to ensure the best for this country and your family, period.

Isn’t that the case for everything in life? All things are negotiable?

Is federal coverage for abortions negotiable? I'm sure the Democrats would love it if it was. Are higher taxes on the wealthy negotiable? Again the Democrats would love it if it were. Is ending Obamacare negotiable? From the Democrat point of view I'd say no it isn't. Same with raising taxes on the poor and middle class. How negotiable is getting Mexico to pay for the wall? From Mexico's standpoint it's a non-starter; how do you negotiate with someone who sees no reason to come to the table.

There are certain conservative principles that should not be negotiable. Smaller and less intrusive government. Respect for the Constitution. A judiciary that holds to the Founder's view of what the Constitution intended. But Trump is a man without principles, at least none he would go to the mat for, so he wouldn't know that.

Ted Cruz has never had even one piece of noteworthy legislation passed.

Ted Cruz has never successfully filibustered any opposition legislation.

Ted Cruz has never managed so much as a popcorn stand.

Ted Cruz has no chance and never did have any chance of winning the GOP Presdential nomination.

You want a wall built, how do you get it done if congress is against it? Well you negotiate

Exactly, they are just trying to get Trump to box himself in somehow to play the "gotcha" game. Kind of like Bush's "no new taxes" pledge.

Trump is going to fight to get the wall built. Lot's of things need negotiated to get that done, some probably counter to how Trump would do it if he had his way. Trump shows how to get the larger picture done without the failings of ideological trappings of hundreds of "red lines in the sand".

Cruz, it seems everyone imagines, would build his wall exactly as he imagines or not at all. And that is somehow supposed to be superior. We already know how that turns out. No wall, no control, lots of vocal principle, nothing done. Kind of like we have right now and for the last several decades.

Trump is going to get the wall built, and they just can't stand it.

I just don't get Trump supporters who after watching Trump in his own words, say they don't care & it doesn't matter.

You're by far not the only one.

Cruz & Rubio are splitting the opposition to Trump.

Trump 40%

Cruz + Rubio 39%

I know Cruz supporters will never support Rubio, most like me are Cruz/Trump.

If Rubio supports legally migrated to Cruz, new ballgame.

Republican voters in 11 states to select 595 delegates today.

Enjoy your single payer health care he admires so much, there won’t be a wall, there won’t be mass deportations, he wants more regulation, wants to do more executive orders, has not clue what libel law is or means...it is not Federal law. He would have no jurisdiction or authority over it. Public figures already can sue if there is a knowing or reckless lie about them. He is for an assault weapons ban.

But go on, fall for all of Trump’s lies. He knows you’ll fall for them. As he said in October to Larry King, he couldn’t tell the truth about his real stand on immigration, because “I wouldn’t be doing as well in the polls.”

What did Trump say that is so horrible? Everything is negotiable. Did you think Trump was so naïve that he believes the Congress of the US will just pass all of his agenda carte blanche? Don’t be stupid of course he will have to negotiate with Congress just like every other President before him.

You have your own vision of what a “great America” looks like but are you sure it’s the same as Trump’s?

I'll take my chances on someone I feel is "for" America.

I've been ANTI Obozo since he ran in 2008. I grew up in Illinois and I can tell you as a person who resided there, 90 miles from Chicago, until I was 32 years old, that Obozo was as dishonest and corrupt as ANY politician to hail from Chicago. A blind man could see that coming a mile off.

We've had to endure nearly 8 years of eating warm bowls of $hit and I'm willing and able to give Mr. Trump an opportunity to CLEAN HOUSE and turn the bus around.

I can truthfully say, "I highly doubt that it will get worse or remain the same under Trump."

Who knows.. Trump may be God sent.

Haven't you noticed that no weapon formed against Donald Trump has prospered? Why would that be?

Isaiah 54:17

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper,
And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
And their righteousness is from Me," Says the LORD.

You could add "Just remember, when Trump negotiates, he negotiates to win".
