(Vanity) Does Sen. Ben Sasse want Hillary choosing Justices? (He won't vote GOP if it's Trump)
Feb 29 | WilliamIII

Posted on 02/29/2016 8:53:39 PM PST by WilliamIII

This arrogant smirking Nebraska Senator calls himself a "conservative" but says he won't support the GOP for presidency if Trump is the nominee.

So if Sasse gets his way, Hillary will choose the new Supreme Court justices.

In other words, if Sen. Sassy gets his way, Goodbye religious liberty. Goodbye Second Amendment.

And if Sen. Sassy Smirky gets his way, with Hillary in the White House, there'll be no more chance of repealing Obamacare than right now.

Thank you, Sen. Ben Smirk, "R" Nebraska. Cornhustker voters need to remember like Elephants, and boot this Hillary-enabler out of office in four years.

There is fundamentally no difference between Hillary and Trump. You know, you're right !

Just today I was listening to Hillary say she was going to deport all illegals, build the border wall, and stop the importation of muslims.

You mean just like the Donald! He, that knight in shining armor, that paragon of virtue who has never, would never think about splitting the ticket. Donaldus Maximus would never threaten a third party run if he doesn’t get his thumb sucking little way.

Fools. Who is the greater fool? The fool, or the fool who follows him.

It was his job to win that case. It was NOT his job to VOTE AWAY AMERICAN SOVEREIGNTY by ENABLING TPA/TPP! He VOTED AWAY the Checks and balances DUTY of THE SENATE’S ADVISE and CONSENT in the IRAN TREATY. He didn’t show up for the vote on AUDIT the FED even though he SAID he was FOR it, he didn’t bother to VOTE FOR IT.
Cruz is part and parcel, bought and paid for by the Cheap Labor Express and the NEW WORLD ORDER. Look at who funds him! Why do you think he joined with Marco Rubio in attacking Trump? BECAUSE BOTH are Bought and Paid for and BOTH are ineligible!

Well, your logic does not track. He wins the case supporting sovereignty, because it is his job. Then goes to Washington, and decided you know what now I am not going to do the job.

Why is it so hard for some of you trumpeting ninnies to understand. Many of us think trump is nothing but a gasbag liberal...and there is significant evidence to that effect.

Why should we vote for one gasbag liberal over another gasbag liberal?

I will not do so. I will vote for a conservative...period. Just because some of you have drank the kool-aid does not mean we all must.

Are you so naive to think a social liberal and Clinton friend like Trump who supported the Left for 4 decades is going to appoint an Originalist and Textualist like Scalia? We’d be shocked if Trump appointed someone even as “conservative” as Kennedy, and we all know has that turned out.

Trump...Hillary... this country is screwed either way.

In Washington he has been bought by the New World order and cheap labor express. In addition h is NOT qualified to run for president according to the Constitution.

And what would make him qualified?
See for me and all but the rabid of society, this issue has been settled. I think I read somewhere that to take the BAR exam Cruz had to provide proof of his citizenship. Cruz has done more in the past twenty years to protect American Sovereignty, and Americans rights than anybody, with the exception of Scalia, and Thomas. Definantly more than Donald J. Trump.

You’re not as smart as you think you are. It is not a question about Cruz’s CITIZENSHIP. It is a question about him NOT being a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN which requires both Parents to be citizens and him born on the soil of the USA. Neither Cruz nor Rubio are qualified.
Trump has not been in politics as an active member before now. What he HAS done is employ thousand of people and build great buildings and projects in America and around the world. his qualifications are so far superior as far as EXECUTIVE qualifications are concerned, the others are not even in the same room with him. We need an executive to straighten out this country, not just another greedy politician looking for a lifetime deal. Trump signs his checks on the FRONT. ALL the others except Carson sign their checks on the BACK when they endorse their government paycheck, paid for by the TAXPAYERS.
Your argument shows your ignorance. Do some research on the Constitution and Vattel’s Law of Nations, mentioned in Article I, Section 8. Natural born citizen means the person cannot be anything other than American when born. Cruz was Canadian/Cuban//American. Article II, Section 1, Clause 5, clearly states ONLY a natural born citizen can be president or vice president.

I would personally like the exact reference to vattel in the constitution, I have two copies and have read then and see no reference to cartel. You missed the point of my question, by your definition of NBC Trump would also be disqualified. That was my question, not the qualifications for the job

Since you’re not naive, tell me the names of the two judges that Trump gave, for his possible Supreme Court nominees.

You still don’t get it. Trump WOULD NOT be disqualified. He was born of TWO PARENTS CITIZENS and BORN on US SOIL.
His mother was a NATURALIZED CITIZEN years BEFORE Trump was born. His father was a natural born citizen and Trump was born on America soil. He IS IMMINENTLY QUALIFIED.
Look up E.Vattel and the Law of Nations on google. Then you can reference Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, John Jay, Thomas Paine, and a string of others by googling their names and Vattel or Law of Nations. There is a mountain of information but it boils down to this, YOU have to read it and understand it. The Law of Nations is NAMED in Article I, Section 8. It was so widely held as the source not only for much in the Constitution, but also for certain wording in the Declaration of independence that EVERYONE of the Framers knew and understood The Law of Nations. There was NO NEED to “EXPLAIN” it in the constitution.
You see no reference to “cartel”......what are you trying to say?

First, according to your theories trump, and Cruz are either both legal, or both illegal. You can’t argue that facts work one way, and in another way it works differently.
Second, the reference to the Law of Nations, was in regards to dealing with the recognized rules in which nations interacted. Vattel was certainly a noted and respected scholar, however he was still swiss. Our founders where English, we were English, we upheld English law, and when the constitution was ratified it was based off of English common law.

You are so wrong it is pathetic. Obviously you have never learned to read with comprehension. How can Cruz and Trump be equal when Cruz has one point out of three...his mother was American. Trump’s parents were BOTH American. Cruz was born in Canada. Trump was born in New York which the last I looked was in the united States. Cruz 1/3, Trump 3/3

While there were some things based on Common Law, in general the Constitution was NOT the SOURCE of American Law. It is recorded that one of the Constitutional Committee said so. British Common Law dealt with SUBJECTS of the KING. The King granted them whatever “rights” he pleased. In America it is the PEOPLE...remember from the Declaration of Independence...WE THE PEOPLE....who rule. We have no king and are NOT subjects, we are freemen. As of July 4, 1776, Americans were NO LONGER SUBJECTS OF A KING, THEY WERE CITIZENS OF A FREE AND SOVEREIGN NATION!Subjects and Free Citizens are entirely different.
Vattel was THE INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED EXPERT on INTERNATIONAL LAW! Dismissing him as just Swiss is rather narrow minded on your part. He was taught in all our universities and a fairly recent dissertation on Vattel was given at the University of Virginia. It is worth reading. We had just finished fighting England for our independence. Why on earth would we set up our Constitution based on the very thing we despised and fought a war to destroy?

Correction: In general British Common Law was not the source of American Law and certainly not our Constitution.

Because unlike what you are portraying the revolution was not as radical as you think. Up until April 19th and in some instances later, our founders viewed themselves as ENGLISH SUBJECTS, with ENGLISH RIGHTS, subject to the ENGLISH KING. The olive branch petition makes that very clear. They started out and continued on fighting for thier ENGLISH RIGHTS as ENGLISHMMEN. Trumps mother while true being a naturalized citizen, was born a forign citizen like Ted’s father. Ted’s father was legally here, and married to Ted’s mother making him elligable to gain citizenship. The place of birth has no bearing, because if you take the NBC clause word by word, and decide it by the definition, both Cruz and Trump are NB. May I then mention, that if American common law, is not based entirely on English common law, then why pray tell did the first law school in America use William Blackstones commentaries on law. The basis of English common law

You still can’t see the difference in a CITIZEN which Trumps mother was AT THE TIME OF HIS BIRTH and the NON CITIZEN FATHER OF CRUZ AT THE TIME OF HIS BIRTH. i deal with Facts. You deal with your fantasy! The information is out there. Actually, our BILL of RIGHTS was modeled on the FRENCH Droits des citoyens which was written by Lafayette with the help of his friend, Thomas Jefferson. It was signed by Louis XVI. It predates our Bill of Rights and is acknowledged world wide. There were other contributing thoughts, some English, some Native American, but Vattel was the primary source according to the writings of the Framers themselves.
