NEW YORK - Donald Trump implied Saturday that a lawsuit over the now-defunct Trump University filed against him by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman may have been a conspiracy involving President Barack Obama.
CBS New York reported the Republican front-runner railed against the California judge presiding over the civil suit, calling him hostile and noting his Hispanic ethnicity.

New York filed the suit two and a half years ago. They suspected he was going to run way back then?
Your tacit support for Obama’s judicial pick is noticed. What are your plans should trump win the nomination ?
Hard to see how Trump could get a fair trial. And HALF DECENT lawyer would do the same.
I have no doubt about it. Democrat politics as usual.
Trump is beginning to remind me of Don Rickles.
Only if it’s not true.
The problem with the attack story that is being told is that over 90% of the students evaluated the course very highly. Many of them recorded video statements about how helpful it was including one of the plaintiffs in the case (a little awkward for the plaintiffs).
When I looked further into the issue I found several articles that included full statements from individuals who had taken the courses saying the suit was an attempt to get money like the many class action suits for which we have all gotten postcard invites. Articles were linked to FR in my prior posts.
Trump is smart not to settle because his reputation for fighting suits is the only thing limiting the number of nonsense suits by people looking at his deep pockets.
Also, why no mention of the name of this Hispanic judge haring the case in the CBS article? Is there anything about him that the Democrats would prefer to keep quiet?
I'm not generally a fan of Trump, but in this matter, knowing how prominent 'Rats work nationally in tandem using the levers of government authority against political opponents, I think he might very well have a point.

I think the plaintiff might be from CA.....
Can’t speak for this case, but Democrats in the state are notorious for judge shopping for effect.
They know who their buds are, and they are quite successful at winding up before a seeming fellow traveler.
There were a total of 5 people in this class action lawsuit.
But now there are 4 because Tara, the chief agitator, has just withdrawn.
Not definitively, but I presume the complaintant is a CA resident.
Two and a half years ago, Trump was making a lot of noise about Obama’s birth certificate.
You gotta love lawyers...and garden variety greed.
Longer ago than that. By 2013 he'd shown he was all talk and no action on that.
hahahahah ... right!
Once Trump started making all that noise, the WH sent a lawyer out to HI to get what it produced as his birth certificate. Before that everyone was stonewalled.
Obama released his certificate of birth around the time of the 2008 election. Trump claimed he sent investigators to Hawaii in 2011 and said that they were "amazed" at what they were finding. And nothing. Just Trump blowing smoke again.
Obama did NOT release his birth certificate in 2008. There were a number of lawsuits filed that went on for a couple of years, at least thru early 2011 that I’m aware of, and it was around that time when Trump started making noise that the White House sent an attorney out to HI to get a copy of his birth certificate and that is what he presented to the public. Obama spent well over $1M defending against those claims. It’s a matter of public record if your memory has failed.
