...Cruz doesn't tithe. He and his wife donated less than 1 percent of their income to charity and nothing to churches, including to their own in Houston, according to tax returns from 2006 to 2010, the most recent Cruz has released.
His campaign declined requests from The Associated Press to provide recent tax returns or otherwise demonstrate donations since 2010. Cruz has said he and his wife were more focused on using their seven-figure annual income to build a financial foundation for their family.

I, too, feel that one’ religion should be a non-starter.
UNLESS the candidate is using his “religion” to sell himself as a candidate! If he or she parades his piety they’d better be the real deal, or the results of finding out the walk doesn’t match the talk can be just what’s happening to him now.
If ya ain’t got it, don’t flaunt it.
his campaign unveiled fresh details about his tax returns from 2011-2014.
LOL that’s all you got?
Back up, my faith is not your business Ghost—my faith and my charity is between me and God.
Whether or not I tithe is:
1. Not important as I don’t wear my faith on my sleeve
2. Not relevant as I don’t solicit anyone for their $$$
3. Not your business
I am not the one clamoring for Trump to release his return. I am not the one running for office, praying in public—courting the evangelical vote and asking others for their charity...that is when it is my business and relevant..
My business is to now go watch a movie with my daughter. In honor of your favorite pair of Cubans running, I say adios.
I started out liking him, but now I think he’s pretty slick.
So only people with no children are supposed to tithe? Or give to charity?
Wolf in sheep’s clothing.
I don’t even want to see their tax returns. That’s just more fodder for the mainstream media to screech about. If they pass muster with the IRS, I’m okay with that. I want to hear their genuinely good ideas for cleaning up the mess the aging hippies have made of this great country.
Just giving you what you are giving Cruz. You should be held to the same standard you hold others to.
He solicited donations. Apparently he thought it was more blessed to receive than to give.
He calls himself "The Face of God" and you say he's doesn't consider himself morally superior?
Seesh, get yourself a new moral compass, yours is broken.
“At least he never donated to Democrats.
He donates like democrat Biden... Not much.
Let’s be only fair. Heidi proposed that. If Ted did too, I haven’t found it.
I've listened twice and may just listen again. It's excellent! It also fits in the tag line. ;-)
It is 2016. What is Ted hiding?
OK, I’ll accept that.
“Are you suggesting that Cruz has asked forgiveness for not being faithful?”
I would not want to speak for Cruz, especially when you are giving a religious test.
I don’t want to speak for Trump either on religious matters.
Trump has addressed the forgiveness question himself publicly. I understood him to say he has never had to ask for forgiveness from God.
Did I misunderstand his point of view?
It is vile for a sitting US Senator to demand a private citizen release their tax returns. Of course when you are losing what else is there? Your link shows Ted is hiding his 2015 and 2016 returns.
Where is your public confession?
“He made a lot more than me and I give 10%.”
Net or gross?
See my posting at #82
Dang Ted. I guess you showed that Trump guy. This is a case of cutting off one’s nose to spite one’s face. Rubio’s will be worse.
Trump should not release his tax returns for nit picking. Let Rubio and Cruz do that destruction to themselves.
