RedState's Leon Wolf : My Endorsement for President (Marco Rubio)

This is one of the most difficult posts I have ever had to write. I had naively hoped that this election cycle, I would be treated to a substantive contest between a spate of highly accomplished two-term conservative governors, and Senators of great rhetorical skill acting as the ideological conscience of the bunch.
As the primary wore on through the summer of 2015, it became clear that the GOP electorate was not interested in governors of accomplishment, but I still had hope for a final contest between two of my favorite Senators: Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio. I hoped to hear a rousing and fair debate between the two leading into Super Tuesday, where I would be able to make a decision based on who would be the better President, and who would make the better general election opponent against Hillary Clinton.

When reporting becomes your means of daily bread...then, unless you are *seriously* intelligent, you cannot distinguish yourself from anyone else by content. So you must rely on "access" to "inside info".
The insiders have figured out that they can control a lot of the bloggers by threatening to cut off their "access".
THIS INCLUDES RUSH. He has "Wobbled" recently; he is doing some things in the past 2 or 3 weeks that his journalistic standards would never have allowed prior to this.
He is not doing it wholeheartedly, and he still tries to throw the occasional red meat to the Trump fans and ex-Tea Party types.
But Rush is now damaged. Not a goner, but damaged.

A Red State/Leon Wolfe endorsement is a kiss of death. It's as bad as a Rich Lowery/National Review endorsement or a Bill Kristol/Weekly Standard endorsement or a Rupert Murdock/FNC endorsement, etc etc etc...

Not a surprise. Redstate is a big defender of the GOP status quo. Too many are just not seeing the big picture. We have a chance to totally take out the status quo and kill political correctness dead. Then we can have a chance at really turning the tide in this country against the left and the internationalist corporatists. Thinking that if only we get a pure enough guy in there is just naive. We need a guy like Trump who can totally ram through the barricades and weather any attack not two half term Senators who best accomplishments are reading “Green Eggs and Ham” on the Senate floor and betraying us as a front man for the gang of 8. Let’s for once go with a guy who has actually created thousands of jobs. A man who cuts right through the press like a knife through butter and speaks to the people so much so that 10s of thousands turn out at his rallies which are the biggest primary rallies in the history of the body politic.

Both of Rubio’s parents were Cuban citizens at the time of Rubio’s birth and not Americans at that time.
What did that make him?
Cruz, of course, was Canadian until a year and a half ago. He would be our first foreign president.
