"If he hadn't inherited $200 million, you know where [Donald] Trump would be? Selling watches in Manhattan."
It was Marco Rubio's big moment, the one that was supposed to damage the GOP front-runner. It wasn't a bad line. The zinger illuminated that Trump wasn't self-made. It made him seem like the avatar of New York's worst values--a street hustler from pre-Giuliani Times Square.
Rubio's riposte got a laugh, but that was it. But he administered his blow too quickly, after a dizzying oppo dump of Trumpian facts--bankruptcies, lawsuits against Trump University, hiring illegal workers and so on. Like a hormonal teenager with control issues, Rubio blurted them out so quickly that the fusillade fell flat.

Don’t forget the “I funded you, Ted”
That was also very telling.
Didn’t he take over his dad’s company? And all it’s assets?
Trumpzilla!
I don’t think Rubio was a professional Chippendale dancer. I think the photo you are referring to was a when Rubio and his South Miami High teammates wowed the crowd with a Chippendale’s style dance routine.
Naturally, you'd have that opinion cause you hate Trump.
Trump had the two Cuban harpies in stereo tonight who obviously had a strategy to bitch all night rather then try and explain why they are a better choice.
It was Kasich and Carson acting like adults, Cruz & Rubio acting like little yapper dogs and Trump having to defend himself.
Not a great night for anyone. Big Loser? RNC and CNN as usual. Just a dumb debate all around.
Cruz and Rubio complain about Trump being PT Barnum but they have no problem playing the circus lions.
Do you have a link for the Morning Joe Trump socialized medicine link?
The only time Trump has mentioned the word mandate, that I know of, was when he talked over Anderson Cooper, on CNN. The CRuzbots took his one word....that he was talking over Cooper with and, of course, ran with it.
Trump is NOT for socialized medicine or any sort of mandate.
I haven’t been to Manhattan in years, but when I was last there, I didn’t see one street vendor. Can’t imagine they’d be able to make enough money there to survive the high prices.
If Trump is as heartless an employer as they say...let’s put him in charge of DC :-).
Beck & CRuzio are the Greatest Show on Earth. Rubio is the flying Wallenda boy.
The proper reply to that is..
“And I thank you for that support, it’s obvious you know a true leader when you see one”
I am not comfortable with the two candidates whose NBC status is in question teaming up to take out their primary opposition.
At least his face is shaved in that pic.
Ann Coulter calls him Puberty boy.
Your problem is that you are so in love with Cruz, and so in hate with trump, you think like a 14 year old that hormones are raging constantly,no clear thinking, just lying and sick adoration. Cruz looked greasy and sweaty, and homely especially next to Marco.
Yes, but that was years later.
We’re talking initially in the 80s. His dad died in 1999.
Trump also was upside down about $170 million around 1989/90.
There was a downturn and a major paper pegged his net worth at that level.
The guy turned it around. That’s two reason’s why it’s not accurate to refer to his inheritance as his way to riches.
CRuz even wore ill fitting clothing way back then. Look at that strange choker collar....on a crew neck tee!!
My former sister in law was a nurse in the ER.
They came here, one fell ill onstage and she helped tend the stricken Chip.
They cut away his tighties and found a huge, greasy salami inside.
If that does not dash reality for you, I don’t know what will.
:D

I wouldn't say destroyed, but he certainly looked meeker than Rubio who was a slobbering junkyard mutt.
Not much of debate when they are just yelling insults at each other. What friggin' circus.
