Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,†conservative commentator Monica Crowley said the Republican Party establishment is rooting against both Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Donald Trump to win the nomination because if either wins the presidency, she said, “the establishment is done, it’s over.â€

I can live with either of them, but I don’t delude myself into thinking Cruz is independent... he’s taking the same money every other GOP candidate does, so the idea if he wins election he will change things significantly is foolish.
Trump is the only one, with a simple “I will put America First” campaign message, this is a message that should be so easy to coopt, yet no other Republican, not even Cruz is doing it... why? Because the folks who pay their bills and pull the strings are Stalwarts who want to keep their money train rolling regardless of who they harm in the process.. so none of them, even Cruz are allowed to try to use that message.
What does that say about the Republican party?? They can’t coopt a message that should be the very basic requirement to even be a politician, regardless of ideology, yet they don’t and can’t....
Good. Now we need some leaders to rebuild the party.

That sounds like the liberal talking point 20 years that our politicians were bought by corporate America.
It took me 15 years to finally agree with them.
There is a choir of FReepers who still think politics is a just and pure pursuit for the good of the nation, like Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
The vast majority of our elected officials, at the Federal,State and Local level are in it for personal profit. In politics there is no sanctity, patriotism, or duty to serve anymore. Go in poor come out rich...how is that “patriotic or serving”?
Damn them all to Hell and relegate to irrelevance those who blindly support them.
But my point is, without getting too repetitive, is that your Good Stuff quotient with Trump is going to be lower, simply because conservative, Originalist ideas have been displaced by other things with him.
It’s disturbing to realize that the liberals are actually correct on some things.
I used to get reamed here for saying there’s no difference between the two parties.
The GOP screws us too. They don’t always bend us over like the dems do, but they’re still screwing us nonetheless.
