Breaking— CRUZ CAMPAIGN STAFFER SAYS CAMPAIGN IS DONE —
A Ted Cruz campaign staffer today told CNN the campaign is done. “His Campaign is done.”
“The Cruz campaign has to focus on getting basic campaign techniques right,” said a Republican operative who works for the presidential campaign, who asked not to be identified. “I don’t think Cruz can win the nomination at this point. I think his campaign is done.”
Cruz took a huge blow on Saturday after he could not win a single county in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.

When Trump stops agreeing with Rubio when he says that its a lie that he’s for amnesty then we will know that the bond is broken, that he sees Cruz as out.
And how do you know this? They didn't do this in Iowa, which is a closed primary state.
Trump whipped Cruz's ass.
In a state where Democrats could vote for him.
You can't blame the Democrats for this one.
Well, till I see better data, this theory seems pretty reasonable to me. Trump is garnering huge support among Democrats and minorities. This ought to translate into votes in an open primary.
Another Trump drive by attack?
Unnamed source; yeah right.
For some time I have wondered about Cruz getting bad advice and perhaps somebody in his campaign even sabotaging it. Whose bright idea was it to go after Trump instead of focusing on Rubio in SC? Sounds like this staffer was part of the problem. And why did Cruz get involved with loony Glenn Beck?
Yep that is what I was thinking.
For ever action is an equal and opposite reaction.
whatever you are smoking, I want some.
If he (Cruz) doesn’t hold his staff accountable before they’ve totally destroyed his campaign, of course he’s to blame.
.
South Carolina is a very liberal open primary state, made to order for the liberal leaning candidates.
Lynnsey Gramnesty country.
The Reagan coalition was pretty successful at getting quite a lot of Democrat votes. Trump is appealing to blue collar Democrats. He fights. He doesn't take any guff, and he is a successful businessman.
Have you not seen "Diamond and Silk"?
There is a lot of enthusiasm out there from non-political Democrats. (Which are most of them.)
74%???
in South Carolina, a state with an enormous evangelical vote.

I keep pointing out that South Carolina is an open primary state. What happened there is that DEMOCRATS voted for Trump. Establishment types voted for Rubio.
==
Trust me, I’m here, that’s not what happened. Every demographic voted for Trump.
Do you live in SC?
I do, and am very familiar with SC politics. That is not what happened. Trump had overwhelming support in this state in all voter categories.
It had nothing to do with it being an open primary state. He had the majority of the Republican voter support
All the Democrats lied to the pollsters about being evangelical.
Obviously.
Hahahaha
No doubt some of them refrained. But there are plenty enough Democrats that like Trump, and I have no doubt quite a few of them crossed over and voted for him in the Primary.
I have always said that if Trump wins the nomination, he will be a shoe-in in the General election. It would probably be the biggest blow-out election in US History.
You are correct! See my last post.
The Trump Rubio alliance proposition is comic relief, so thanks. Sorry, but that isn’t even close to reality.
All three are in it to win it. Who knew?
<<< “Trump has fired a couple as well. But thatâs ok right? “ >>>>
But, not for fraudulent crafting of video against his opponents, a deed known in most quarters as “dirty tricks”.
Is this really necessary?
Of course, Trump has initiated a bunch of attacks, but that's a different story.
