Monday on the campaign trail in Reno, NV, Republican presidential candidate
said if his opponent Donald Trump becomes the nominee, the GOP cannot win in November, because half of the Republican Party “hates” him.
Rubio said, “We can’t win if we nominate someone, if we nominate someone that half of the Republican Party hates. We are going to be fighting against each other all the way to November. I don’t care how much you may think they’re funny or how interesting they may sound. If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party can’t stand, we are going to lose.”

You think it “might” start at the border. Would that be the border of your state or the border of your county?
As FR today illustrates, I don’t think it is possible for Republicans to put together a large enough coalition to win the Presidency any more.
A populist like Trump brings in new voters and peels off some Democrats, but will be opposed by a decent percentage of the party’s base.
A true conservative like Cruz excites the base and also brings in some new voters, but pushes the party’s RINOs over to the Dems.
A “moderate” like Rubio unites much of the existing party, but doesn’t excite anybody and brings in zero new voters.
In short, we seem to hate each other as much or more than we hate the Liberals, and that will doom us in Presidential elections for the foreseeable future.
Indeed.
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
Danger Will Robinson
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
If we nominate someone that 40 to 50 percent of our party canât stand, we are going to lose
So the “Memorizer Bunny” (credit to lurkinanloomin) is now the darling of over half of the party...?
I wonder what these Trump people are going to do if he puts Rubiorobot in VP slot??
Sorry Rubio, but you won’t get my vote no matter what. You are a shill for the same nonesence that has been destroying this nation. You are a parrot and a hack.
Well, you can count me in with the people that hate Rubio.
If you think Trumps numbers in the general will be what is being polled right now there is little hope. Trump will take at least 20% of the democratic voting Base in the General, he’s the only candidate who will.
If you think you will put Hillary and Trump on a stage for 2 hours unfiltered and Hillary will be winning after that you just aren’t paying attention.
It's why the polls of "who does best against hillary" are invalid. There's just too much dynamic stuff going on between now and then.
He was talking about Cruz.
You have quotes on what you posted. What’s your source?
Personally, I would have to reconsider. ANY amnesty idiot undercuts Trump’s main message.
It's mostly Teddie and the Cruzers who are so vehement against Rubio, and they've influenced others. Trump and Rubio jab at each other a little, but they don't seem hostile to each other at least since Iowa.
He does have a point. plus it’s more than half.
And why does the GOPe allow cross over votes in their primaries? They are eff’n stupid...
The rats cross over and pick the nominee for us.
Sorry.. the more I learn about Trump the less I like him.
He won’t pick Rubio. My guess, if you’re picking from the current presidential field, would be Kasich. He has the DC experience and he’s governor of a must have state for any Republican, Ohio. It won’t be Cruz or Rubio.
Report: Mitt Romney May Endorse This Presidential Candidate- Some Conservatives Stunned
No such announcement has been made yet.

The rumor mill is fully operational with the campaign for president in full force. The most recent rumor is that former two time Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will be endorsing Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fla. No such announcement has been made yet.
Various senators, congressmen and public servants have made presidential endorsements. However, Romney’s would arguably be the highest profile one yet for a Republican candidate to gain. Within the Republican Party, Romney is well respected and liked-and his endorsement would no doubt have an impact one way or another.
The Nevada caucuses are set to commence on Tuesday. Romney previously won the Nevada caucuses in his 2008 and 2012 campaigns. Such an endorsement before Tuesday could provide Rubio with the leverage to overtake Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, in the caucuses. Both senators are mere single digit poll points away from each other.
