C-SPAN Tweeted a user-generated video clip of floor remarks from then Senator Joe Biden demanding that President George H.W. Bush refrain from naming a Supreme Court nominee because of the pending Presidential election in June of 1992.
It hardly requires mention at this point how much the Democrats and their mouthpieces have invested in the storyline that Republicans are being historically evil in a totally unprecedented way over Obama appointing someone to fill Justice Scaliaâs now-vacant seat. Yet here is Obamaâs own Vice President making the case for us. Indeed, making the case for America.
It can scarcely be better said. And the best part? He doesnât just say there should be no nomination. He goes right to the heart of what the Dems are sanctimoniously bleating about every day. âThe Senate Judiciary Committee should seriously consider not scheduling confirmation hearings.â

Great find!
Truth - enemy of the Dhimmicratic quest to destroy the Western way of life.
Doesn’t matter what Democrats did when the Senate GOPe is a bunch of spineless corrupt b@stards.
ping
I agree that they have shown to be spineless over the last 10 years. What they need now is encouragement to NOT be spineless in this ONE particular instance that will mean so much for years to come.
I just sent a note of encouragement to Grassley and McConnell with the Biden 1992 quotes. I’m not naïve enough to think it will make a difference, but it sure couldn’t hurt.
So it should have been in the Congressional Record? Why doesn’t the government provide an internet search engine for all congressional records going back to the beginning?
Watching it right now: http://www.c-span.org/video/?c4581759/sen-joe-biden-supreme-court-confirmation-process&start=20
I don’t think anyone understands this. For a Democrat to change his/her mind, that is called “evolving.” For a Republican, it’s a flip flop.
Hypocrit, the word is DEMOCRAT.
Ted Kennedy first cooked up this shit casserole for Judge Bork. Now the democrats get to eat the leftovers. They should not complain.
The GOP seems to think keeping their cushy jobs is more important than fighting for what they (or rather, the voters who elected them) believe in. the writers of the Declaration pledged their "lives, fortunes and sacred honor" for the support of the document. Sadly, I see the 'Rats more willing to do so now for what they believe in than the spineless GOP. The motto of the GOP should be "we pledge our lives, our fortune and our sacred honor!"*
* "As long as we don't get blamed for something".
The internet never forgets.
BTTT!
But they’re democrats. It’s OK when they do it.
And on YouTube:

Given the clip’s relevance, I’m surprised it only has about 140 YouTube views, and a similar one even fewer.
