I’m going to miss the Yeb! threads, they were always the funniest, he provided material almost daily.

Looks like a Nikki Haley endorsement is the kiss of death down South!

Most voters said it didn’t matter. It’s not the kiss of death, just not helpful. I’m sure plenty are unhappy with how she handled the flag issue though. Rubio won the 2 establishment areas (Columbia and Charleston) Charleston area is very liberal.

Nikki Haley endorsement

I liked it when Trump at his victory speech made a point of saying he had the *lieutenant* governor's endorsement ("which I'd take any day over the governor's").

$100,000,000 later.

I could have told him that he wasn’t going anywhere for a cool $10,000,000. His last name is Bush!

This means my “Republican “execrable excuse for a Congresthing Adam Kinzinger and my even more execrable excuse for a “Republican” US Senator Mark Nancy Boy Kirk have been orphaned. Such a pity!

Greenpapers has Rubio leading in CD 1 (Charleston) and CD 4 (Greenville-Spartanburg), with Trump leading in all other CD’s.

It appears a lot of votes are not counted in CD 4 though.

Kirk is in his first and last term as a U.S. Senator. He stands no chance at all of winning re-election. Without a doubt he was one of the worst Rep senators in history.

You have my condolences re: your Congressman. My Congressman is Peter Roskam.

“Wanna bet on a Rubio/Bush ticket??”

Zero percent chance unless one of them quickly establishes residency in a state other than Florida. The Constitution forbids the President and VP both coming from the same state. Currently Jeb and Rubio are both Florida residents.

Yeah, well, that does not mean anything. McCain suspended his campaign too, but then won the nomination.

You are making the assumption that Cruz supporters are incapable of being practical, and sticking to Cruz even if it becomes apparent that Cruz is not going to win. Of course, the Cruz supporters, who like the Paul supporters, have a personal cult-like connection to Cruz will vote for Cruz regardless. The rest of the Cruz supporters, the non-fanatics, will support who they consider the best candidate left in the race, and that is likely to be Trump, as the non-establishment guy who has changed the whole dynamic of this race, forcing the establishment candidate to take about things they don’t want to talk about, such as terrorism, the illegal invasion along our border, the loss of jobs, etc. Just as most Trump supporters would support Cruz if Trump drops out, despite their reservations about Cruz’ Canadian birth, I think it very likely Cruz supporters will support Trump despite the animosity between these two men; indeed, they are not likely to support Rubio. Also, I think that in future primaries, many Cruz supporters, if they see that Rubio may win the nomination, will vote for Trump instead of Cruz, rather than let that happen, just as Trump supporters would do if the situation were reversed. I really think a lot of false assumptions are being made here about Trump’s viability.
