If it were Trump vs. Cruz or Trump vs. Rubio and the rest of the field were out - Trump would be out. Unfortunately, the supporters of the non-Trumps are splitting the rational vote and leaving Trump as the “winner”

Trump has even more baggage that the media is holding off on until he gets the nominee.
You do realize if Cruz or Rubio drop out...Trump loses the nomination. Trump is at his max support right now. Look into the internals of polls. #2 for everyone is Rubio and then Cruz.

Trump and his minions really don't think very strategically. If they were smart they'd want Cruz and Rubio to stay in it.Has nothing to do with what I want. Cruz needs to come in second in SC or it's over for him. I think Trump is strong enough to beat any combination of the remaining candidates so who drops out when doesn't concern me.
