‘I’m The Hero!’: Surgeon Allegedly Rams Car Into Cop After ‘Assault’
NY Post ^ | 2/19/16 | By Shawn Cohen and Jamie Schram

A cancer surgeon with a God complex boasted that her job saving lives made her far superior to the lowly NYPD officers who hauled her away in cuffs for hitting a cop with her car in Midtown, prosecutors said Friday.

“I am a doctor. I have patients who are dying. I’m the hero; the cops are not!” Dr. Rachel Wellner, 40, told police when she was arrested for striking an officer’s leg with her Volvo on Thursday to avoid a parking ticket, prosecutors said at her arraignment.

I would choose using a scapel in an operating theater over chasing the proverbial hop head up the proverbial dark stairway any damn day of the week. YMMV.

Maybe hot, if she shut the F up.

Ha. Minus a roll of duct tape, what are the odds of that happening?

The first overt winner in medical AA was Patrick Chavis, a black, less measurably qualified than other, non-black applicants to UC-Davis med school.

The good doctor, seeing the money in plastic surgery, targeted black women, doing procedures in his own clinic.

In some cases, a patient would have post surgery distress, and go to the ER. Dr. Chavis would show up, had them discharged, and brought at least one back to his apartment, most likely to hide his incompetence.

One or two patients died, and in revoking his medical license, the review board said his practice of medicine was "akin to torture".

Chavis got the munchies one night, and was collateral damage in a shootout between rival gangs at a burger joint.

I doubt he drove there in a Volvo.

She took an oath to do no harm. She did harm with great stupidity. Take away her medical license so she’ll have no dying patients.

“From personal experience working with people who had doctorates”

I work for a company that hires consultants, on a regular basis. One of them was rather pretty, and I would make it a point to chat with her, during lunch break. She seemed like one of the most vacuous people I have ever met. One day, I needed to interact with her, on a work matter, so I went to her desk. I almost fainted, the wall next to her desk was adorned with TWO doctorate degrees . . .

I admire people who have the opportunity, are that focused on a goal, dedicate their life, and drive to completion of those goals.

So when I address these people, I don’t mean to belittle their achievement. It’s impressive.

Push comes to shove, can they actually function in a contemporary setting? Can they deal with everyday people in a social manner? Will their life be a normal fulfilling life?

It takes different things for people to be happy. Achieving those goals may have been 80% of their happiness. Achieving in the real world may be the end big goal, but not necessarily.

Two Doctorates makes you wonder if she wasn’t happy with the first, or if it was in the same field.

I think it’s great that there are so many different people out there. Man would it be a boring world if we were all alike.

Thanks for your additional comments.

Thanks for your reply !

To give you another idea of this poor girl’s situation, she was a single Mom (not her choice), and had to import her mother from overseas, to raise the kids, an eight and ten year old were basically telling her to get lost, whenever she would ask for their attention, when they were on their smart phone, or Ipad, as an example....

She was probably an over-bright person.

You get a person with over a certain IQ, they can have a hard time relating.

She probably had no idea how to raise kids. That’s not a ding on her, but that’s part of the program if you’re going to be a mom.

I feel somewhat sorry for her. Not trying to put her down at all. Some things you can’t help.
