I had over 200 WWII model airplane kits. I’ve never bought a rape kit.

So. Some poor woman could have been raped 5-10 years ago, yet State SNAFU’s with rape kits kept things backlogged and out of court?
Peachy.

FWIW, Mike DeWine, the state’s Attorney General, seems to be the only Republican in OH who hasn’t been a disappointment.

I don’t think the Muslim migrants are wanting for rape kits: tote bag, knife, handcuffs, gag.

Reading this really saddens me, especially when I am reminded that “so goes Ohio, so goes the election!”

"So. Some poor woman could have been raped 5-10 years ago, yet State SNAFU's with rape kits kept things backlogged and out of court?" The other side of the coin is the integrity of the evidence and chain of custody over this time frame. Rapists should be prosecuted, but is the evidence reliable?

DNA testing has come a long way in the past 10 years... In this case I fall on the side of better late than never! 445 indictments — that’s a lot more sleep for a lot of victims who never had any closure!

It usually comes packaged like this. That rape kit includes a bag of ice.
To: Responsibility2nd
I’m concerned about how many women were raped because the state was slow to process the kits.
To: sparklite2
has helped identify hundreds of alleged assailants, many of whom repeatedly committed violent attacks. Those hundreds of victims would now be alive or not having to deal with being raped or beaten if the cops had done their job in a timely manner. There is NO excuse for this. The agencies should be made to answer.
