Just when you thought the loony tornado of garbage surrounding the death of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia had reached peak weirdness, along comes Glenn Beck to take it to eleven. Calling in to his own radio program Tuesday, Beck began by casually riffing about how God sent Hurricane Sandy mainly to screw Mitt Romney, but then moved on to his theory that Our Lord and Savior has taken Scalia off the board so Ted Cruz can get elected:
After I got past the "thank you (to God)" I thought "You're welcome.I just woke the American people up. I took them out of the game show moment and woke enough of them up to say, look at how close your liberty is to being lost."
You now have lost your liberty. You replace one guy and you now have 5-4 decisions in the other direction. Just with this one guy, you've lost your liberty so you'd better elect somebody that is going to be somebody on [the court] because for the next 30 years, if you don't, the Constitution as you know it, and Pat, I say this all the time. The Constitution is hanging by a thread. That thread has just been cut and the only way that we survive now is if we have a true constitutionalist.

Because at some level they have overlapping beliefs, ambitions, or both. Although, as you say, we may never know. Even if we did know, it might be completely unfathomable.

Beck is the worse person in the world to listen to, to believe, and to want to be around...
The guy has a very serious pathological problem and has had for years...
I can understand why his first wife divorced him or left him, what ever she did, hope she’s back to sanity now...I just wonder how long number 2 wife will last...even though they were married in the ‘Mormon Temple’ for ‘time and all eternity’ that poor woman is probably insane by now herself!!!
But Cruz likes him, been on Beck’s show a lot, went to the border with him, let him give Cruz ‘the oath of office of POTUS’ in Iowa; has let Beck pray over him, and Beck can’t be a ‘preacher’ in the Mormon Church, a Bishop, but not a preacher, so this guy is utterly and totally NUTS!!!
I assume that even terrible things (Scalia’s death, Obama holding power over us for eight years) are part of God’s plan.
This does not in any way mean they will work out well for us individually, any more than they worked out well for German Jews 60-70 years ago, or for the Jews in Egypt 3400 years ago or in Babylon 2600 years ago, at least not in the short term. It just means that they will work out, in the long run, to bring the world where God has chosen to take us.
Not at all surprising, Cruz was essentially tripping over Scalia’s still-warm body to announce that this was the best thing to happen to his campaign in weeks on Saturday. Then he went on to repeat over and over the lie that Trump was going to put his sister on the Supreme Court. None of this has helped him, so pretty much the last card he has to play is having his surrogates try the the “God wants me to be President” gambit.
So Ted’s buddy Beck is saying God killed Scalia in order to get Cruz elected. Sick bastard!

Senator Cruz needs to get rid of Glenn Beck, NOW!
This is way beyond alarming, embarrassing, troublesome and merely problematic!
Mormons everywhere are embarrassed to call him one of their own. He is batship crazy.
Because they agree with one another.
I’ve moderated my opinion about the cause of death. If the family didn’t want a further investigation done, I’m thinking that they knew of an advanced, impending, probably fatal health condition that Justice Scalia had. Scalia was probably expressing a sort of ‘Swan song’ by going out doing what he loved to do, knowing that his days were very few in number.
While any bilge sticking to Trump is a keeper?

Never really listened to more than 2 or 3 minutes of Beck, but this guy badly needs a vacation.
I don’t trust anyone on the Supreme Court that takes advise from Glen Beck. Plus he’s to wishy washy.
