Rapper Killer Mike drew attention late Tuesday after saying during a rally for Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders that a "uterus doesn't qualify you to be president."
The rapper said he was repeating something a woman said when he made the comment while ripping Sanders' rival Hillary Clinton.
"When people tell us 'hold on, wait a while' - that's what the other Democrat is telling you," Michael Render, who goes by his stage name Killer Mike, told more than 4,800 gathered at Morehouse College in Atlanta.
"Hold on Black Lives Matter, just wait a while. Hold on young people in this country, just wait a while," he added, mocking Clinton.
"And then she get good, she have your own momma come to you, your momma sit down and say, 'Well you're a woman.' But I talked to Jane Elliott a few weeks ago, and Jane said, 'Michael, a uterus doesn't qualify you to be president of the United States. You have to have policies that's reflective of social justice."
The rapper was one of several speakers who praised Sanders before the candidate took the stage. Shortly afterward he took to social media to defend his comments from backlash:
Why are we talking about Bernies uterus? Maybe we should talk about the VA death lists under his watch. I called his office last year to complain about the local va clinic denying care.

If Bernie gets traction in the black community, Hillary will send the flying monkeys to attach the J word to him. Then she will condemn the practice. And keep sending the monkeys.

Hitlery is claiming her gender as her only qualification for office. Affirmative action style quotas are not a solid basis for equality, in fact, they are the foundation for gubmint-enforced inequality.
