I saw my ex-husband in court last week. It was the first time I had seen him in longer than I could remember; the exact date lost in an 8-inch-thick legal file of court proceedings that is currently lying on my desk. In fact, I could count on one hand the number of times I have seen him since I started that file four years ago.
Up until just a few days ago, I literally could not find my ex-husband.
But before he disappeared four years ago, I was a married, stay-at-home mom of a 3-year-old daughter and 7-month-old son. Then overnight my world turned upside down when my husband said he was going to the store and simply never returned.
Not only was my marriage over, but he left me with two very young children in a position where I was unable to instantaneously support us.
Quitting his job and leaving his work vehicle (his only car) in the parking lot of his employer, he turned off his phone, moved out of town, and became untraceable. His actions were not just an exaggerated statement that he no longer wanted our marriage, but it was a heartbreaking declaration that he also no longer wanted our kids.
And I’ve heard it all; the judgments that people love to throw my way. “Didn’t you see this coming,†and “what did you do to make him leave?†Or “this is why you never should not have been a stay-at-home mom without your own career,†and my favorite, “you had kids with him, you did this to yourself.â€

Well, thank God, you never had access to my four sons who don’t have a warped view of the concept of male/female relationships and sex. Life and Sex is sacred and to use it frivolously and carelessly without true commitment (virtue) is stupid and will end up in tragedy and child-killing and child-desertion.
Can you “know” the ethics of the person you marry or engage in a “sexual” immoral relationship?. Absolutely. That risk is YOUR choice and when you choose some evil witch because you can’t control your base urges, you are dumb and will suffer. But worse, any children you create will be totally damaged.
True love is selflessness-—and you can never truly love “the Other”—true diversity, without virtue (maturity/sacrifice). It is impossible. Christianity created the only “system” of ethics which is based on true “Love”.
If you choose a person incapable of “love”, you will be a loser always, even in our evil Marxist system which destroyed the marriage contract to make males and females hate each other and children distrust “commitment”. Children will be so emotionally crippled from lack of loving role models (destruction of true marriage) since they need both male/female role models to be rational, and be able to “love” and interact successfully with all people and understand Reality/Natural Law.
You are witnessing the deliberate destruction of culture by Socialism (which destroys virtue and embeds dependency). The destruction of the Natural family and all the dysfunctional, immorality of both male and female children, raised and damaged by the system which forces and normalizes selfish, evil, dysfunctional, addictive narcissists so the State becomes god..

Usually the parents are in a contest to see who can be the kid’s biggest BFF..
Two christmases, two Easters, two or more birthday parties; kids learn quick to play their parents like fiddles.
You be your kind of man and the rest of us will be ours.
And, you'll be glad when our paths don't cross in a contentious way.
Yes, all my kids are productive too. I feel bad that I had to work so much but at least I taught them the value of an education and work ethic.

As a triage interviewer at a local food/clothing bank I can tell you this is a very common occurance.
I've had women tell me their ex-husband committed a crime, got caught and was sentenced to prison just to avoid having to make child support payments.
Irresponsibility is running wild.
Terrifying story. It’s the entire “accountability problem” that government has that’s the reason I hate it. It is self serving. It’s hard to distinguish from organized crime at times. Even when it’s wrong, you have little recourse and if there’s money involved good luck getting it back.

Oldest, 19, was told by mommykins that he was going to be an American Idol sensation—barely graduated HS with a 1.7 GPA, is now a pot fiend, working part time at a vid game store and living back with mommykins
The younger two are worse. Fortunately I caught the fact that the oldest moved out. Ex-shrew was going to stay quiet about it and let CS continue till 21 for him (CS goes to 21 mandatory here in NYS) Took 7 mos through the court system with a lawyer to get him emancipated

Simple is to father no children and never marry.
Why is that so heartbreaking? Kids, like marriage, can be and often are mistakes. Walking away from one shouldn't mean that walking away from the other(s) is any big deal. Get a grip, woman
