My Husband Went to the Store and Never Came Home, Deserting His Two Kids
Yahoo Parenting ^ | February 16th, 2016 | Eden Strong

Posted on 02/16/2016 3:28:15 PM PST by Mariner

I saw my ex-husband in court last week. It was the first time I had seen him in longer than I could remember; the exact date lost in an 8-inch-thick legal file of court proceedings that is currently lying on my desk. In fact, I could count on one hand the number of times I have seen him since I started that file four years ago.

Up until just a few days ago, I literally could not find my ex-husband.

But before he disappeared four years ago, I was a married, stay-at-home mom of a 3-year-old daughter and 7-month-old son. Then overnight my world turned upside down when my husband said he was going to the store and simply never returned.

Not only was my marriage over, but he left me with two very young children in a position where I was unable to instantaneously support us.

Quitting his job and leaving his work vehicle (his only car) in the parking lot of his employer, he turned off his phone, moved out of town, and became untraceable. His actions were not just an exaggerated statement that he no longer wanted our marriage, but it was a heartbreaking declaration that he also no longer wanted our kids.

And I’ve heard it all; the judgments that people love to throw my way. “Didn’t you see this coming,” and “what did you do to make him leave?” Or “this is why you never should not have been a stay-at-home mom without your own career,” and my favorite, “you had kids with him, you did this to yourself.”

There is zero fairness in family court.

And in a very small minority of cases he women are unfairly screwed.

Often whatever sides lawyer is in better standing with the judge, gets the breaks and judments in their favor. Usually the lawyer or law firm that donates more to the judges reelection gets wins in their court.

Okay so nobody can avoid problems with the system without being a sheep, according to you? Screw that explanation.

Yes. The system is now hostile to what we would call "traditional values", so if you live your life unashamedly as a Christian who believes in the Constitution, especially if you are male and doubly if you are white, you will eventually encounter backlash for that, whether it be your employer harassing and/or firing you, someone suing you, media trying to destroy you, community shunning you, or the legal system trying to prosecute you. You can try to screw that if you want to - that's your business.

I spent years in abject destitution despite a six figure salary...

She had both the tax exemptions. The CS rate was based on my gross salary @ 25% for two kids, That’s the baseline, not the maximum. It goes up from there as the mother petitions the court. It was up to 31.84% by the time she was done.

That’s $25K

$100K after taxes is about $60K of walking around money. Now, subtract $25K from $60K and you’re left with $35K. I had to pay half of the daycare bill, which was ($1250/month) another $15K. we are now down to $20K. Add in mandatory health and life insurance, of another $2000/yer and you’re down to $18K. My car insurance was high based on where I lived, and my credit score was in the mid 400’s. I had to pay out the “maxed out” credit cards that she ran up before the sky fell. $40K @ 29% because she let them get behind.

The SC payments were garnished from my wages before I even saw it.

I felt like a hamster on a wheel. No ladyfriends, vacations, or luxuries.

There isn’t a man alive who has gone through it, that doesn’t know, deep down in his heart of hearts...that O.J. did it.

I tell young people they have no business getting married so long as Friday and Saturday night seem special.

Well we disagree. I think eventually we will all encounter problems as te system goes more and more godless, but there are differnt levels of persecution. I mean i feel atacked by everything going on, and i feel stress about living under a more hostile regime that subjectively targets those it hates, the color of law bs that goes on, but just because I have no active lawsuit or person after me doesn’t mean sheeple.

“The problem is all inside your head”, she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I’d like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it’s really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won’t be lost or misconstrued
But I’ll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

He just found a new way.

Same with my son and his overtime was considered as normal pay when they set the CS.

She barely put a roof over their heads while running off to concerts and vacations w/o the children. I bought all their clothes and school supplies because she spent every cent on herself.

My granddaughter is in college and her mother has not given her a dime for anything in 2 years, not even birthday and Christmas.

The documentary “Divorce Corp” explains what a massive racket family court is. By judges and lawyers and court experts themselves.

It sows how t s done so much easier in other countries as well, that don’t make tens of bilions annually, off of their citizens’ personal misery.

My wife sometimes complains about what she considers our poverty stricken early married life and I say yeah too bad you can’t go on Queen for A Day and tell your story. I have only fond memories of those times.

“I tell every young man who will listen: Take your future into your own hands and put on a rubber. And never, ever marry.”

Gospel according to Mariner. So you hate children, hate marriage, and see women as mere play things for young men to use for self-gratification? Did I understand you correctly? Do you realize you are on a conservative, pro-family, pro-life, pro-faith forum?

“amazing that the majority of the posters here are against the woman, mother of two, for some unknown reason....”

80% of families are broken-up by the woman.

Hey, Cherry. The 70s called. The men want their tank tops and cheap beer back.

"you hate women?...but you want sex?...that makes you a homo.... "

Who, me?

Most men, who are not betas can get all the sex they want without marriage. And without being a homo.

Those are your words and sentiments, not mine.

Of course I realize where I am, I've been here since 1998.

Umm lady, how old is your oldest?

The article, if you read it, says she had a 3 year old, and a 7 month old.

This is why marriage was intended to be a God thing. This feminism business (or a masculism answer to it) yanks the institution out of God’s hands and it can only become a cynical, selfish game.

Good point.
