Looks like we’re gonna have TWO conventions that resemble Chicago ‘68.

Sounds like the GOPe is preparing for defeat come November. I am starting to come around to those who call them the stupid party. We shall see.

Hmmm, the entire article is about the soon to be dead GOP.

Nothing at all about Debbie Uglyman’s open admission that the libs are up to the same thing.

Trump will take SC quite handily, and then take NV. Carson and Kasich will drop out. Going into Super Tuesday, Trump will have big leads in almost every state, and have a lot of momentum, Cruz, Rubio and Bush will be battling for the also ran slots. Trump could very well run the table on Super Tuesday, forcing Cruz, Rubio and Bush to think long and hard about whether it is even worth continuing. Their money may very well start running out, as few people will continue donating to obvious lost causes, particularly Bush.

If it plays out that way, Trump will have more than enough delegates by time the primaries are over, the others combined won’t have enough to prevent him from getting the nomination.

That may well be. I am hoping that either Cruz or Trump can marshal enough forces and through sheer numbers and will, overcome RNC attempts to fix this nomination for Jeb or Rubio in some brokered insider abortion.

I wish both good luck and no ill will, frankly. I am thinking that if this does happen and they are faced with this treachery a meeting of minds will have to occur and they will have to combine somehow. How that shakes out depends on the amount of rancor that continues between Cruz and Trump camps. Together, the numbers overcome. Apart from and against each other, the numbers diminish both and open up the proceedings for the likes of Jeb, Mitt or whatever quisling third-time loser we’ll end up with.

Many on FR have posted that 'only the Dems have superdelegates'.

The implication, of course, is that the GOP leaders would never stoop to finagling convention delegates. Those 'extra' delegates the GOP allows are not 'superdelegates' and have little impact on the determination of the nominee.

The GOP's problem with that COULD be that a candidate gains more than enough delegates to counter any finagling at the convention.

Campaigns ALWAYS “secretly” plan for a brokered convention, because if that happens you better have a plan. Of course it almost never happens, and probably won’t happen this year either. But they wouldn’t be doing their job if they didn’t have a plan.

Another Politico scare article about something that is not going to happen. We will have a clear winner by the convention and its looking a lot like Trump.

Here we see another example of the insidiousness of the political party system in this country. These corrupt syndicates are the enemy within. With their money, they use the corrupt party apparatus, which they themselves devised, as the means to exercise control over you and I for power and personal greed. Worse yet, their interests are mostly damaging to the best interests of the country.

Ah, the press starts this “Brokered convention” rumor every four years. It’s wishful thinking on their part.

With a Brokered Convention the USA will get Hillary R. Clinton...because...the two men who can beat Ms. Clinton are the most vilified by the opposition and by Republicans who are all too happy with the Status Quo! Trump or Cruz can and will beat Ms.Clinton....remember that the status quo/establishment/Washington Mafia/Socalists/Marxists and anti-Americans who have cushy jobs for government or private money like George Soros....REMEMBER this is what Americans must vote to defeat in Nov. 2016 OR the latter will, will elect Ms. Clinton and keep their status quo.

There’s a huge problem with all this BS about a brokered convention: the RNC rules. The most important is the rule that requires any candidate to have a majority of delegate votes in at least eight states to have his name entered as a potential nominee. Will someone here please name just five, not eight, states where anybody but Trump will have majorities of delegates. Thus, it looks like Trump will enter the convention as the only candidate who will even be able to have his name considered for nomination. Poof goes the “brokered convention.”
