I feel like weâre back in the pre-Iowa period when no one could figure out whether Donald Trump skipping the Iowa debate would hurt himâby the normal rules, of course it would hurt him; by the Trump rules, it wouldnât make a difference and maybe even help (by demonstrating strength).
By the normal rules, Trump embracing a blood libel about George W. Bush (he knew there were no WMD in Iraq), saying Planned Parenthood does great things, and often swinging wildly and angrily would hurt him a week out from a primary in Bush-friendly, hawkish, socially conservative South Carolina.
But weâll see. Certainly Trumpâs behavior reinforces the idea that heâs disruptor and not just another politician, and Republican voters might not mind so much that one of the candidates is outspokenly anti-Iraq war (even if he takes it too far). Trump continues to be able to interrupt everyone else with impunity and act the Big Man on stage, with no one really able or willing to assert themselves against him.
Jeb is trying the hardest. He continues to improveâhe seems a bit more relaxed and authoritative every debateâ and did better against Trump than ever before. But some of his strongest moments were defending his family and although that is honorable, Iâm not sure how much that gets him. He has still not figured out how to clearly best Trump, even when he has the better of the argument.
Rubio was very good. A little sharper, a little more conversational. He probably got in more telling jabs against Trump in the Iraq debate than Bush did (although I doubt anyone cares much that Bush was enforcing U.N. resolutions).

Oh my. That makes Jeb even more pathetic.
Al Qaeda was not in Iraq *before* we invaded, so that is not a legitimate question. Saddam was keeping the extremists in check in Iraq, so that he could stay in power. There is a big difference in saying we should attack violent terrorists who want to destroy us like Al Qaeda and ISIS and saying we want to overthrow governments to try to spread democracy and to nation build, even when it’s not demonstrably in our national interest.
“The next time the war will be mostly over before we can get geared up and deployed.”
Which is just how Obama likes it.
I hear everything you are saying and agree with you. But I’m also thinking about the women who do actually use other services of PP. Where do you send them, the healthcare system is so messed up now.
Many women in the African/American community do look to the PP facility for other things. Often they are unable to go other places because of transportation and many times just not good at dealing with new circumstances.
Yes I am well aware of them selling body parts and suspected it for some time, just because of a few articles I saw over the years. I’m grad the videos showed them not just selling body parts, but actually gloating over fooling the women who didn’t know what was happening with their babies. I can’t even identify with the kinda mindset that would do that.
First of all, the audience in the debate was so clearly stacked against Trump, and somewhat against Cruz.
Second of all, Bush makes me physically ill. Everything for that family is about THEM. No one is allowed to criticize them, nor the mother, nor the Bush Dynasty. 6,000 Americans are dead, and now the situation is entirely out of control due to these NWO stooges, and yet, no one is allowed to criticize. Just listening to Jeb you can hear the war drums beating in the distance ...Makes me SICK.
Trump acted awfully, but someone SHOULD. The suffering and horror that this country has been through since this entire cabal took over, from the Clintons to present day, needs to be pointed out.
Cruz is well spoken, but something about him smacks of the Establishment, as much as any of the others. Kasich is a loon - cackling with his crazy laugh. Rubio seems to be on coke during every debate. Carson, while obviously very intelligent, just does not have the umph we need.
Trump is the ONLY one I feel I can count on to upset this apple cart and restore power back to the American People. He’s going to act awfully — he’s going to rout them out. It’s going to be ugly. It needs to be ugly. This country is in a world of hurt. Children are growing up without fathers. People are losing their livelihoods, and we’re losing our sovereignty.
These globalist turds posing as American presidents need to be shown the door. Trump’s going to show them the door .... fasten your seatbelts — it’s not going to be “pretty.”
Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms:
http://www.factcheck.org/2012/10/planned-parenthood-and-mammograms/
They are an abortion mill that pretends to care about the health of women, excluding of course the women they are murdering in the womb.
I’ll give Trump the credit of doubt and say that he is ill-informed. I actually believe that since it is evident he is the most ill-informed person who has run for President in my life time. He is also the most arrogant, with the exception perhaps of Obama. Of course, he has successfully “winged it” to date with the attitude of “I’m Trump, I can do anything”.
One of my favorite movie line of all time is: “A man’s got to know his limitations”. Trump gives no indication that he even cares about his level of ignorance and that scares the heck out of me given his temperament and the power we would be giving him.
“What surprised me was Cruzâs lies about Trump and the Second Amendment, and appointing liberal judges, when Trump named two conservative picks.
I guess desperate men do desperate things.”
I thought Cruz was ‘crazed’. His lies are quite obvious and not worthy of one so smart.
Stress brings out people’s true character, and Ted’s is not honest.
Look, I really resent you talking down to me and treating me like someone who has to be enlightened by you. Yes PP broke the law and some should be in prison. And
Obama isn’t securing the border and keeping illegals out.
What are you to do when those who should be enforcing the laws are buddies with the groups breaking the laws. So they just don’t enforce the laws.
We are never going to win the abortion issue(if that is even possible) with laws alone. So one way is to leave the facilities intact, remove the abortion aspect and take care of the other needs women come there for.
Try to win over those women with using kindness to tend to there needs and changing their views on getting pregnant and abortion.
NR and the GOPe are embarrassing themselves. Rubio, Bush, Kasich are socialist

re: post #28
Amen!!
Anyone who wants more American blood shed for these idiot Muslims is a damn traitor! Let those stupid camel humpers fix their own damn problems. They’re all a bunch of cowards.
PP does nothing for women. They dont even do mammograms, they refer them out. The entire reason for PP existence is to do abortions. Everything else is to give them a respectable appearing front. Period.
If they stopped doing abortions they would go out of business and that can’t happen soon enough as far as I/m conderned.
Then send me a private email and fill in my blank spots. Educate me, show me what I am wrong on. I am open
Lowry. BWAHAHAHAHAHAH.
lol, it’s true
I cannot believe FReepers are defenders of Planned Parenthood now, just because Trump is. Women can get free birth control at any county health department.
Trump revealed himself last night. I really think he is in this thing to hurt Republicans chances in 2016. His sole purpose is to make sure Hillary does not face someone like Ted Cruz in the general. A Trump nomination will also most likely hurt the party down ticket in November 2016.
I believe Trump is fuming and has plans to fix top priorities that no politician cares to fix. He has not been articulate about how. His top priorities....Immigration, Drug Cartels, US Manufacturing. I have pieced his approach to do so through all the bantering. He will spotlight the problems using the media (instead of playing golf) and shame congress with the facts of what is happening to the people of this country. Many African Americans HATE Bush and blame him for the countries troubles today. His highlighting Bush was no surprise as he knows his targeted audience, which includes cross sections of the Left and the Right.
He gets away with it because the people he represents feel crazed too and they want him to go nuts on these creeps who have run our country into the ground and aren’t finished yet!
First: Hillary isn't going to be the nominee.
Second: If she were, she would crush Ted Cruz.
Not sure, therefore, your theory makes sense.
Toally agree. These politicians are NOT listening and Trump is hearing from the people. He then gets on stage and experiences the attacks from the very politicians who have caused the distruction. It is madening to someone in his spot.
