I feel like weâre back in the pre-Iowa period when no one could figure out whether Donald Trump skipping the Iowa debate would hurt himâby the normal rules, of course it would hurt him; by the Trump rules, it wouldnât make a difference and maybe even help (by demonstrating strength).
By the normal rules, Trump embracing a blood libel about George W. Bush (he knew there were no WMD in Iraq), saying Planned Parenthood does great things, and often swinging wildly and angrily would hurt him a week out from a primary in Bush-friendly, hawkish, socially conservative South Carolina.
But weâll see. Certainly Trumpâs behavior reinforces the idea that heâs disruptor and not just another politician, and Republican voters might not mind so much that one of the candidates is outspokenly anti-Iraq war (even if he takes it too far). Trump continues to be able to interrupt everyone else with impunity and act the Big Man on stage, with no one really able or willing to assert themselves against him.
Jeb is trying the hardest. He continues to improveâhe seems a bit more relaxed and authoritative every debateâ and did better against Trump than ever before. But some of his strongest moments were defending his family and although that is honorable, Iâm not sure how much that gets him. He has still not figured out how to clearly best Trump, even when he has the better of the argument.
Rubio was very good. A little sharper, a little more conversational. He probably got in more telling jabs against Trump in the Iraq debate than Bush did (although I doubt anyone cares much that Bush was enforcing U.N. resolutions).

Gee there’s an unbiased source. What does Megyn Kelly and Eric Erickson think?
So who is?
Be careful you will offend JEB’s mommy with that kind of talk.
Like.
Stranger things have happened.
Rich Lowery’s of this world created the people’s need for a Donald Trump at the political horizon.
I have to admit Trump’s blaming Bush for the WTC falling “on his watch” bothered me. Satan should be blamed for that.
Sure, Trump is a boor. But I don’t mind that.
Apparently you did not watch the Debate last night. He did not deny that he has supported partial-birth abortion in the past. And, no one who is Pro-life says that Planned Parenthood “does some wonderful things”. That’s what he said last night. You said why do I have to be so dishonest. I just told you the truth. Why do you have to force yourself to stay in denial? Or, are you just freakin’ stupid?
You are not quoting all the words. Trump finished with ,”but not with abortion”.
Quote all the words.
SC open primaries will let opchaos RATS show us who they eant to run against. Is Trump still losing to Thighness in Nov?
“He did not deny it last night.”
Did not deny what? Partial birth abortion?
Really?
When that came up in the cross-talk, was anyone able to complete a thought or get a point across?
Trump has made very plain that he use to be pro-abortion but that he had changed to pro-life some years ago based on seeing someone grow up who was almost aborted.
Now, is it really possible for Trump to be for partial-birth abortion and be pro-life at the same time?
I have never denied that I was for partial-birth abortion myself because I have always been against abortions.
If I singled out that I was against partial-birth abortions, someone would think that I was implying that I thought abortion otherwise was okay.
See my Post #112.
Trump has been “pro-life” for about 1% of his own life...
BS.
Candidates always kiss and makeup if it serves their interest.
Ben will be out after SC, so that will be a short trip.

It’s a shame we could not have had a Conservative voice this go around. Trump has let us down. Cruz..... he can go to hell. See my Post #112.
Obama is a jerk. Hillary and Bernie are jerks. Rubio is a jerk. Bush is a jerk. Kasich is a jerk. The political class is bought and paid for by special interests and their corporate paymasters.
Trump is a private citizen who connects to the people in the vernacular. He is not as articulate as the members of the political class, but he understands what issues are most important for the American people. It is why he is winning and will be the nominee. We the people want someone who is proud of America and places the interests of the citizens above all else.
The real jerks are the people who got us in this mess.

I guess to put this in words that Mr Trump and his supporters might understand, make some great food now if we just cut out all the gambling then all would support that making a good food. But as we all know when you remove the gambling casinos go out of business, and sometimes they even go out of business with the gambling. Dictated with google voice
