Associate Justice Antonin Scalia was found dead of apparent natural causes Saturday on a luxury resort in West Texas, federal officials said.
Scalia, 79, was a guest at the Cibolo Creek Ranch, a resort in the Big Bend region south of Marfa. According to a report, Scalia arrived at the ranch on Friday and attended a private party with about 40 people. When he did not appear for breakfast, a person associated with the ranch went to his room and found a body.
U.S. District Judge Fred Biery said he was among those notified about Scalia's death.
"I was told it was this morning," Biery said of Scalia's death. "It happened on a ranch out near Marfa. As far as the details, I think it's pretty vague right now as to how," he said. "My reaction is it's really unfortunate with any death. And now, politically, in the presidential cycle we're in my educated guess is nothing will happen before the next president is elected."

And let this unfortunate loss of a very good man inspire the conservative base to get out to vote like it hasn’t got out to vote since the ‘80s.

They won’t. Most likely the gutless GOP will kill Obummer’s 1st nominee just to act like they’re doing something ( throwing us a crumb ) but cave in on the next one. They’ll even expect us to thank them. A new Justice somewhere to the left of Leon Trotsky is almost guaranteed in our future. At least it won’t be a long one.
I suggest that all start watching post apocalyptic wasteland movies. They may help.

Breitbart's coroner died of accidental arsenic poising, and Loretta Fuddy's coroner died (forget how) as well. It would take a very brave coroner to handle this case.

Obama will make an appointment and the Senate will confirm as the Senate will not let the seat be vacant for a full year.

Sometimes, I go have a look at Alex Jones’ place. One day, he had one of his ‘Emergency!’ videos going on. I clicked it. He was standing outside some building, saying that he was at a location of a secret meeting of ‘people.’ Anyway, he said that “they’re going to do it. All of it. Now.” He was going into the currency issue, the BLM riots planned, guns, everything. I couldn’t watch and clicked off, thinking it just one of his out there ideas.
Well, the next day, that video was gone.
This was just before the current tanking of the Market.
Now, in addition to the ramp up in Syria, we have this.
My first thoughts on this, I don’t like it. He dies at a ranch in his room. How can they presume natural causes so quickly? I think they need to give this at least the smell test.
Further, I think Obama should put someone into nomination in conference with the Senate, someone that can be confirmed. I don’t think we want this being what the Presidential Election is about. We should not be electing a Supreme Court Justice in the Presidential General Election.
I'm reading if the Supreme Court is dead locked say 4 to 4, Chief Justice John Roberts gets to decide. I like to confirm that. I does make sense.
Agree. There is nothing in the Bill of Rights that a hard-left court won’t throw overboard. Get ready to live on a nation-wide college campus; with criminal speech codes; mandatory racial outcomes for everything; and needless to say, a coast-to-coast gun-free zone.
