Ted Cruz announced on Sunday the endorsements of six state representatives who had previously supported Rand Paul.
At least one representative was surprised to see his name.
The representative, J.R. Hoell, had met with Mr. Cruz, senator from Texas, on Friday, he said. "I made it clear I could not support him," Mr. Hoell said in a phone interview on Sunday evening

When you have to defend your guy by saying he's better than that list, you've lost the argument.
He corrected his error in May 2013 and paid a fine. It was for a promissory note he’d forgotten from a business he had severed ties with when Mrs. Cruz went to work for Treasury.
I don’t need to “win” the argument. Cruz snaring the nomination will do all that and more. Politics can get very nasty and neither Hillary nor Bernie will be playing by “nicey-nicey” rules.
Don’t confuse them with facts. Just having he nerve to run against Dear Leader makes Cruz a cheater and an apostate.
Lots of trouble with definitions on the trumpeteers..eminent domain, sovereignty and single payor govt funded Healthcare, almost forgot private property. Must be that rent a crowd company of obamacrats. Anyone watching politics for more than a decade knows.. Trump is in to protect and perhaps evolve single Payor. The democrats won’t allow their baby of a law to die..itmight even evolve under trump into their shared dream govt funded healthcare. He will prob throw in Bernies free college in his two term.
Politics ain’t beanbag.
Ted Cruz once said he took some Tylenol that helped a headache. It turned out it was Excedrin. Then we found out he took a campaign contribution for a hundred bucks from the Tylenol people.
Bump your post!
Well then Bill Gates should even be better based on starting with not much and turning it into billions. No thanks.
It has nothing to do with being a capitalist.
It has everything to do with him being a big government liberal who thinks the current big government is run buy idiots but with his brilliance he can make big government work. Much like the socialist thinks he can make socialism work because all those that came before “did it wrong”.
Trump has little use for the constitution. But it is the limits set forth in the constitution that provides the only road map to restraining government to its proper bounds and returning this country to greatness again.
Without that at the core whatever else is tried will fail.
Ted and Heidi and their "me first, anything to win" antics are reminding me of Bill and hillary when they started out. I don't think I'll be able to stop comparing the two couples in the future. yuck
Lying is a sin it is not campaigning. I believe the truly devout will soon grow weary if Ted Cruz uses lies or deception to try to win an election and tries to mask it in the cloak of righteousness. Some people take their principles seriously and would not betray their morals for any election. Hopefully Cruz will learn from Iowa.
I’ve asked him to take my email address off his mailing list because of the NY values crack. He still hasn’t. And claiming someone endorsed you when they did not, is a lie. Cruz lies on easily verifiable claims. Not smart or honest.
If Ted could ever pull a dirty trick and not get caught, maybe you’d have a point. But so far, he’s dirty and incompetent too. Not good.
Geez, I worked for him too, as did so many others who were active at the time (74-79) overseas.
Just to set the record straight, Trumps' father died in 1999. Trump was a billionaire by the early 80s. Trumps' father loaned Trump 1 million dollars in 1970 and Trump turned that into the 10 billion he has today.
Using dirty tricks to fool the voters into voting for you is not a good way to get elected. Yeah you won the election however all you have really won is the distrust of the people. Good luck governing when nobody likes you and everyone thinks you are a crook, a cheat and a liar.
His campaign gets sleazier and sleasier
Oh goody. The is just politics meme.
What happened to the Cruz who was the outsider and did things a different way!
At first blush, this looks like a mistake. A campaign would understand and recognize that someone who had not endorsed Ted would see his name and correct it- so surely they wouldn’t intentionally pull this stunt.
HOWEVER, when someone who worked for the Clandestine Arm of the CIA ( and who has a former Director of CIA AND NSA working for his company) is the campaign chairman -who knows what is intentional and what is a mistake.
